T-Gender debate again, now olympics

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-57549653 Sure to open up more (typically unproductive) debate on the issue, but the 2021 (2020?) Olympics has its first transgender athlete. Although having passed through male puberty, while T levels are maintained below a threshold, Laurel Hubbard is...

thoughts on how to watch Tokyo 2020 online

hello folks. What would be a good online portal for watching Olympics? This will be my first year that I would like to dedicate time and pay for subscription to be able to watch Olympics online. It has to be internet-based. I will be on the road for work, but don't want to miss anything. Before...

Calling anyone interested in a friendly strength competition for this spring/summer

Last fall, a few of us took part in a competition/collaborative effort where we uploaded our lifts and challenged each other to greater progress. It was fun, and to the best of my knowledge all of us made improvements. My squat is finally out of pathetic territory but still needs a lot of work...

Back From The Dead Again; Journey to Strong

Had a good stretch from this time last year to March this year but had a pilonidal cyst that needed surgery so I was out for about 8 weeks. Not as bad as my last lay-off from the flu, pneumonia and other infections early 2018 that put me out for 12+ weeks or costochondritis that put me out from...

Olympics...

So excited for the Olympics this time around..looks like a complete generational shift. So many new talents and incredible athletes coming from the U.S. as well. But props to Allyson Felix for qualifying for her 5th Olympics. Then finally someone who can possibly get close or get Flo Jo's old 100 m...

Active market traders

Was wondering if we had any active market traders here. I'm sure most have passive accounts (I do too) but any day, swing, or just active traders? Myself - I day/swing trade stocks and options. Options are my main strategy because you can make money as a bear or bull. I do this as a hobby,...

Creatine in the diet after a 7-month break

Would that make sense? Should I start creatine directly after a 7-month break if my goal is to lose fat? Normally this is recommended to protect the muscles, however I do not have this certain muscle mass yet. My muscle mass and strength values are increasing steadily without creatine. My body...

Angry How are you managing arthritis?

Getting old sucks. I don't tolerate NSAIDs at all. What are some other things you have tried that helps?

Think I am almost ready to start lifting with a belt, I really only want one belt. I was about to get an inzer 10mm belt, but they sold out, not sure if I should wait till they restock it or find something else. Thank you for any advice.

Exclamation 5 year lay off. Muscle memory??

Hi everyone, first ever post so bear with me! From the age of around 19 I started weight training/bulking and gained around 5 stone (30kg), admittedly made up of a fair bit of fat. After 5 years I stopped due to breaking 3 of my fingers and was unable to lift at all. I was so disheartened at...

New program in the gym, question

Greetings, I have a question about a workout program, first of all this is not my first time weight training, I've been doing it years ago with very good results, but due to an injury I had to stop. Now I want to get back on track since I've let myself gain a lot of fat. So you can say I'm...

What's the consensus on shed-gym floor joist spacing?

Looking at building a shed for lifting this summer, haven't seen too much on this topic. Plan is to at least build a floor on top of skids and either put a shed kit up on top of it or build the rest from scratch. Is standard 16" spacing suitable for deadlifting? I do plan on using some sort of...

Are supplements good for you in the long run?

I'm M20, not planning to do heavy bodybuilding. I'm just trying to lose some fat and put on some muscle. Should I use Supplements?

The Legendary Thread

With the arrival of my new rack, I wanted to start up a thread on Legend Fitness equipment, to talk about and share picture of our equipment. If this proves to be sufficiently popular, we'll start a Legend Fitness club. Above is the picture of my new rack, a Fat Bar Power Station, # 3171. I...
