Idk how you guys do 2x a week. I can barely recover from PPL with a rest day after every session. That's once a week. I do warm up sets of the first big compound then it's just 1 set per exercise....
And don't smoke, if you don't smoke and have any level of self awareness, after a month or two of smoking you'll notice your lung capacity greatly diminish

I tend to do a fair bit of dynamic stretching and moving before I hit the weights. And when I do hit them, my first big compound is always very light and I work my way up to my working sets.
