So I’ve been having this issue with my bench at home that I didn’t realize may be an equipment-specific issue until I tried a commercial bench yesterday... I can’t help but over-arch my back while incline pressing on my bench at home (low weight or heavy, doesn’t matter), but I couldn’t even get...

Incorporate cardio?

I hate cardio and just lift 3x per week for around 45 min. I’m pretty much sedentary outside of that. If I were to add cardio what should I do? Is having a daily step goal something to consider?

Is monogamy friction toward progress?

Men have an instinct to be polygamous; women have an instinct to be hypergamous. What drove human evolution is the majority of women would pair up with men with most status. This means men who have the most intelligence, physical attributes, or aesthetics. Societies implemented monogamy as was...

Thumbs up Effective Push Ups exercise at Home (Traditional Push Ups). Must Try !!

Hi Everyone.. Traditional pushups are beneficial for building upper body strength. They work the triceps, pectoral muscles, and shoulders. When the package says "Use within 3 days of opening..."

I went to Trader Joe's and picked up one of my favorite dips/spreads: Greek Yogurt Avocado Tzatziki This stuff is amazing on toasted sandwiches, wraps, etc. However, the tub is 11 servings and it says "Use within 3 days of opening". So, apparently I need to have almost 4 servings a day...

Workout after covid

Hi everybody! Sadly, me and my husband tested positive for covid. Our symptoms were very mild. We only coughed a little and lost our sense of smell. We haven't had any fever or low oxygen saturation. Next Tuesday I'll be able to go back to my normal life. I'm feeling well, and I want to...

Calling anyone interested in a friendly strength competition for this spring/summer

Last fall, a few of us took part in a competition/collaborative effort where we uploaded our lifts and challenged each other to greater progress. It was fun, and to the best of my knowledge all of us made improvements. My squat is finally out of pathetic territory but still needs a lot of work...

Power/hypertrophy pull/push

You’ve heard of PHUL, so here is my take on it. I’ve given this some thought since I felt my current split lacking. Day 1 -Trap bar deadlift or conventional deadlift, work up to a heavy set of 1-3 -T-bar rows, work up to a heavy/rest pause set Day 2 -SSB squat, work up to a heavy set of...
