You cannot possibly reconcile these two positions. You stated quite clearly that wide squats look deeper from the front. That statement alone makes the rest of your argument totally invalid.
I am serious. Watching a video of a squat from the front is no good for judging depth. Side angle all the way. Being there in person is a different story.

Your lower back is rounding pretty badly at the bottom. I would focus on hip mobility and flexibility for a few weeks. Drop enough weight to where you can hold your form well and work back up.
