Yea people say the same thing about the belts with the actual ratchet straps on them, there was video a few years ago of a kid getting stuck in an Inzer and the fire department cutting the belt off...

Yup, I think they use them on snowboard bindings as well. Slide it through as tight as possible then ratchet it exactly where you want it.
