why would i waste time losing all that weight when i could just gain muscle really slowly instead of having to waste another 30 weeks to lose 30ish pounds or i could just gain muscle for half a year...

or should I just be eating the same I do on lifting days? I'm just doing Rippetoe's and then HIIT on the offdays, but I'm unsure if I should be eating the same/more on the different days.
