In the US, we have 450k more deaths in 2020 than 2019. Total covid deaths are likely undercounted.

I know this is a hard concept for you to grasp, but when an 80 year old dies of Covid, their life expectancy was not -2 years.

That’s another argument entirely. I was responding to the 99.7% survival odds. I put those odds in perspective, with the 4 million years lost. That is equivalent to 80k 30 year olds dying.

I think the total number of years lost is actually the best way of describing the virus’s disease burden. It gets around the talking point of old lives don’t matter.
