I would actually do blood work and see where your test levels and vitamin D levels are at. Low levels in either of those could also contribute to depression symptoms.

Forgot about SAN's protein. It was pretty good, I tried 2 flavors I think. PES has a good one as well, and their flavors are tasty.

I would go egg protein. Vega Sport is expensive but comes with a good profile. The flavors are not as good as the whey/egg either, but still doable.

Depends on the severity of the lactose intolerance. My GI doctor told me I have to take a Lactaid pill if I want the isolate, otherwise I am to stay away from whey.
