Admin knows best. You should've contributed if you lurked. Too many alts spam terrrible threads and pron. The misc is in a new prime right now.

I hope the obvious alts don't get let in. they just spam the same bad threads day after day. The misc is so much better without them.

Yes it's legit. Sending an email in very rare cases will cause the admin to make an exception and allow you back in the misc.
But the best way to prove you're not an alt is by posting a spoon pic...
