    To avoid overloading it, I'd like to identify and determine the load limit of this 6-ft, 14-lb bar.

    If I remember correctly, it's about 51-inches between the inside collars.

    If by "rings", you mean the thin un-knurled sections dividing the long knurled sections, then about 33.5 inches center-to-center.
    Also, distance between inside collars is 50.5 inches.
