I think it's a matter of preference - are you looking for one with wrist wraps? One that can be washed? Any specific material? I used gloves for a while and went through two or three different...

Indeed! The seller's father was a power lifter back in the 50s and had slowly accumulated all of these plates. This is just what was left after another buyer had gone through the supply.

Ahhhh, gotcha. I thought the pits were what was black - in the same way a burn can be black. You're right about it taking a while with the wire wheel... :)
