When cutting don't you still have to eat carbs every 2-3 hours?

because some people eat 3 carb meals spaced with like 4 hours or even 6 hours gap.

I am planning to do a cutting diet, This is my first time and i was wondering is it ok to not eat carbs at any point for six hours stright?
