I don't know if it is a cult classic......love "MIDNIGHT RUN"...
A couple I didn't see mentioned (I think)...
Barbarella (Jane Fonda)
Whatever Happened to Baby Jane (Bette Davis/Joan Crawford)
I personally define 'cult classic' (beside the usual way) as something that I can watch repeatedly and never truly grow tired of it...
like Charlton Heston did 'Woodstock' in 'Omega Man'...
Oh yeah...
Woodstock! :D
What about Ronin? Love this movie!!!

I read the book first myself. I did prefer the book but as far as film versions of books go this was quite well done.
Burnt Offerings
I haven't bothered to read through the entire thread so I am sure it has already been mentioned, maybe even by me, but for me this list begins and ends with the Evil Dead trilogy! Rumor has it that they are making a fourth!!
Side note, this post is my 8,000th! What a f'cken loser, I need a life!!! :D
I like this movie a lot also:

Hansen Brothers RULE!
How bout Billy Jack?
I was never allowed to watch Billy Jack. Mom and dad wouldn;t allow us to watch those kinds of movies hehe. Sadly, I never did get around to seeing it either hehe.
Eraserhead - totally bizarre but I couldn't stop watching it. LOL
River's Edge - horrible acting but I loved Keanu then.
Rocky Horror - it was more fun to watch the audience, which is saying a lot because I love the movie!
House of 1000 Corpses - Sherri Moon is HOT!
Sister Streetfighter 2: Hanging by a thread
(I believe that is considered a cult film in the U.S.)
The original "Dawn of the Dead"
A few of my favorites,
1941
Time Bandits
Pope of Greenwich Village
how come nobody ever mentions 'Cabin Boy' with cult classics?
"...these pipes...ARE CLEAN!!!"
'Repo Man' and 'Night of the Comet'

The thing I've never understood is......
Why did Michael Palin need "fruit" for his "problem"?
