I mean they aren't completely protected just because they are vaccinated.
Everyone should have a choice and in this case they do. You have a choice to get vaxxed or boosted or whatever, and they have a choice not to see you.

With you on that and craziness on both sides. It is not a vaccine and just a flu shot. I know many people that have all 3 shots and what do you know they get covid. Yes they will say way better symptoms if they did not have one but I really think it depends on the person.
Personal choice and I was in same situation with some close friends that were uncomfortable so basically told them I respect there decision but they also need to respect mine. If they could not get over it all good as everyone needs to live there life and make their own decisions that are best for them.

You’d need to get tested every day for it to be valid. Then getting tested with symptoms seems like a waste when you know you have it.

My guess is most (not all) getting tested just want (or need) to confirm their fears...
I really wish there was some way to track the percentage of positives that were or are asymptomatic ...the picture would be so much clearer IMO.

In liberal areas people need negative test results to go places if they are not vaccinated (similar to failing OSHA ETS). The liberal leaders had been reducing access to tests to make it harder on unvaccinated people to get tested. Then omicron comes along and everyone vaxxed and boosted is getting the sniffles from it and can’t get tested unless they wait for hours. My wife and daughter have colds (probably omicron IDK), and were going to get tested just to see, but huge lines and not worth the wait since it doesn’t change anything.

I live is so-cal which is the most liberal place other than NYC and test results determine nothing as far as access...

Chicago, NY etc need vaccine card or negative test results for restaurants, venues etc. expanding county wide January 3rd for me (don’t live in the city). It’s not a conspiracy, look it up. If it’s not by you yet, wait for 2 more weeks.

Yeah, the huge lines are not realistic. What a way to shut down the country.
Seeing literally hundreds of cars in line with people waiting to get tested. If it isn't for their jobs, it seems foolish. If I felt bad, I'm not going to wait for 3 hours to get tested. I'm just going to stay at home and ride it out. Now, the admin is touting that a new facility to make testing kits by the millions will be be up and running in 2024. :rolleyes:

I dont see the point of getting tested unless someone is actively seeking confirmation? If you feel fine don't bother getting tested, if you feel like crap then getting tested isn't going to make you feel better.

It won't happen outside the city. We're not even following the mandate in most places and theres zero enforcement. Many County Commissioners have come out and said the Gov. can pound sand. We have been filling stadiums and arenas in the state this whole time. No way most people here are going to listen to an order telling them they have to show vax proof or wear a mask to go out and eat. Businesses that I visit aren't even pretending to enforce the mask mandate.
Despite what is being said online/in the news its not been happening near me.

I could see it if you were visiting someone who could be immune compromised. Buddy of mine tested prior to visiting a family member in hospice and tested +. Other than that I don't get wanting to test. Here, if our kids show symptoms, they are supposed to get tested before going back to school. Getting them tested isn't easy though. It can be a bunch of lag time between tests/results/return to class. This has been one giant clusterfuk.

Glad they are keeping their dip****tery confined to the city. Many mayors in Cook county are laughing about the health Dept edict. The suburban liberal areas will be taking a hit after 1/3. It’s so easy to just pop into a surrounding county for any entertainment. They will either change this to statewide or drop it once the financial effects are realized.

The science refuses to acknowledge natural immunity, go someplace where they want tosee a vaxx card and tell you have natural immunity and see how that works for you? Well natural immunity and vaccines with infinite boosters aren’t stopping the omicron. My wife got tired of me telling her she had the covid because my daughter was stuffy for a day and then she is stuffy (mild as in less than seasonal allergies, we are having a table tennis tournament right now). Anyway since you can’t get a test anywhere because they went from 100k tests/ day to around 20-40k/day to further their bull$hit push to inject people, we bought a 2 pack of tests at Walgreens and my wife tested positive. I can’t decide if I want to take one or not. As of now, according to the health elf I don’t need to quarantine cause my heart inflammation and blood clots keep me safe :p. Back to it, impulse bought a table tennis table today and we built it in the living room. 9-12” snow coming tomorrow so probably go sledding. Happy new year disease crew!

There are so many coming done with colds/flu around here it's crazy. Something ran through my house last week and I found out I was rolling with someone who tested positive later that same day. We all going to get this thing.

If you ask people in Seattle when a mask is necessary they will say everywhere including when you are the lone occupant in a car because ya know omicron is coming out of the vents in other cars and coming into yours. Yeah, most of them are Covid whether they know it or not. My work phone/email started blowing up yesterday. It’s an extremely mild minor cold seemingly. They had mild cases with V1 I had the worst of that version. Everyone is definitely getting this even if they are on an IV drip of vaccine.

Agree. This could end the pandemic quickly, but it could be a little hectic for a month or two…Like critical infrastructure/services being affected. The change to the 5 day quarantine period is making a lot more sense, regardless if people are coming back to work still infectious.

I’m still swearing at Dr. Fauci as I was so sick from the booster with a fever, chills, aches and dizziness for 3 days. The dizziness is better but it’s still there. My family insisted I get it but I’m not getting another one unless I’m forced to for work.
I got really sick with the second shot so I’m so done with this nonsense.
