I have heard of things like this as well. This is obviously a subject that could be spun and used to push an agenda. Only once in my real life have I heard of someone being turned away from a hospital because of capacity issues.
With that said, doesn't take away from the seriousness of the issue, real shame even if it's very infrequent.

Think that would change anyone's mind?
Any legit thoughts on this?

I'm a bit reluctant to make much out of VAERS data, and I say this as someone who would welcome any news to reduce the societal pressure for my son to get the jab.

Agree, self-reported data is not a reliable or even valid data to use for a study. Should be medically verified cases only. That said I still fail to see the benefit of mandatory vaccination for anyone, and specifically for low risk populations. After reviewing the study, I don’t think it would/will do well or survive the close analysis/ peer review process.

I know, it seems like it was basically a google search for key words in the VAERS data, lol.

Yes, it really angers me both for the precedent it sets as well as the fear/politcially driven motives rather than data driven risks.

Sorry but the fact that a Tractor Supply store needs signs like this is hillarious.

If I made a fancy looking infographic that said ivermectin adds one inch to penis size 90% of miscers would buy instantly and take at whatever dose the infographic said without a single question, yet the same miscers don't trust the Covid vaccine.

Miscers would be all over that.. Doubling their dick size, win win

Since you have gone all-in on the propaganda, miscers would actually do the opposite, if it was your infographic. The truth seems to usually be the opposite of everything presented by MSM and President. Doesn’t even have to be covid related, look at the retaliatory drone strike in Afghanistan. “We just blew up the mastermind planner of the attack” in reality it was someone who worked for the US as an interpreter and a bunch of his kids. Vaccine is 95% effective. Two weeks to flatten curve.

I observed his exchanges with miscers and maybe a few r and p regulars and it was ugly. He presented clear concise facts and they went crazy with conspiracy theories and attacks. It was like an organized resistance posting against 1 dude.
The anti vax crew is very organized and it isnt just Paul.

There is no shortage of asinine conspiracy theories. That said, I don't think most people who are skeptical of the COVID-19 vaccine, are "anti-vaxxers". I'm unvaccinated, but I am all for the vaccines for anyone who wants them.

Yup. Exactly this.
Many vets are walking pharmacies. I have friends who got injured from the anthrax vaxx.
The 'anti-vaxx' label is thrown just as fast as the 'racist, bigot, homophobe' label at anyone who doesn't toe the leftist agenda.
When science and politics are mixed, politics will always win.
I am unjabbed as well. I will wait and see how many jabbers get injured or die (not that I wish death on anyone) before I make a decision what to do with my body.

We are all adults and can tell who is reasonable, I was specifically describing the misc and the pile on that i have read over there.
I dont know who is anti vaxx and who is not, it never comes up unless you are on a bodybuilding message board. :)
The anti vaxx crew in the big Misc appears to be a group that wants to do nothing. They want to just move on.

As a protected veteran, I find this offensive. I must go to my safe space now.
Oh btw, I just got an email saying my religious exemption was approved...for one year. (I quit my job last week) lol, I would have to go into a clinic and get tested every 2 weeks. Which I find more dangerous than just staying home and working.
It's interesting how certain components of mandates, rules/regs that they come up with, don't make sense. Do they expect me not to be religious next year?

Interestingly I was recently turned away from pretty much all the hospitals in my state when I thought I had some sorta heart issue/attack. The place I was at was trying to get me moved to another hospital in the state overnight by ambulance. Took all night and ended up having to just stay where I was. This was a few months ago.
It was kinda crazy, I was in the ICU. After bloodwork and ekg I was not in immediate danger but apparently all other places were at capacity. Unsure if they were trying to get me into another ICU or just regular admittance.

Only that if the article said the boys were more likely to be hospitalized from the vaccine, the study didn't. It seems to look at all cardiac AEs. I only read the pre-print and skipped the newspaper article.
.
1,743,000 did not have a bad reaction
That's be 1,999,743 of 2,000,000 did not have a cardiac AE. (Were you posting from a bar in Nashville ;) )
You have to be careful looking at something like this. It's just a pre-print, but I still wonder why they're conflating all cardiac AEs post a vaccine with COVID related hospitalizations? Why not at least try to compare it with similar cardiac events from catching the virus?
We grade AEs from Mild to Severe and if they result in a hospitalization they're SAEs, so "serious adverse events".
It's hard to know how many kids who catch the virus have a cardiomyopathy, but if we're saying the spike protein causes it, and the risk decreases post vaccination with increasing age, then it's likely that more 12-15 year old boys get some cardiac event after catching SARS CoV2 than college aged boys/men who catch SARS CoV2. After all, they're very similar proteins. Now I don't know how we'd try to find a bunch of 12-15 year old boys to test, but since the big 10 athletes were getting tested, a few clever cardiologists at Ohio State did manage to run a study in college athletes pre vaccine. https://jamanetwork.com/journals/jamacardiology/fullarticle/2780548
If we compare these. A peer reviewed published article and an odd pre-print:
The risk of a symptomatic cardiomyopathy after actually catching SARS CoV2 in college athletes was .31%. Higher if we don't need obvious clinical symptoms.
The risk of any cardiac AE from the vaccine in the 12-15 year old boys post vaccine 2 was 162/1,000,000 or .0162%. So the potentially higher risk age group had one twentieth the incidence from the vaccine that the older boys/men had from the actual virus.
Those cardiac AEs aren't necessarily as well confirmed as the cardiomyopathies in the college athletes, and we don't what our capture rate is, but even so, once you see how common a cardiac symptom from the virus are, the vaccine looks pretty good again.

Really sad and in fact I just heard this morning of someone's appendix bursting after they were turned away from one hospital and rerouted to another. Covid, mask, and vaccine debates aside things like this should not be happening.

General misc has gotten really sad TBH, most posters aren't even bright enough to engage in cohesive dialogue. Kind of you to say about my posting there because I feel like it pretty quickly degenerates down to those posting around me, lol.

Obviously if I were to make an infographic like that and wanted it to be "successful" on the misc I'd pose it at a conspiracy theory, "your evil government doesn't want you to know how to easily gain one inch penis size"
I hadn't planned on getting it but started being on the fence until one of my employee's wife got the Jab and a week later got terribly ill and went in and she tested as having a nasty case of COVID. I have had too many first hand conversations like that so it's a big naahhhhh for me.
Thanks for the mathematical correction,i was exhausted when I posted that as you can see with that arithmetic error, lol

Sorry to hear of your employee's wife's case. It is my understanding that it takes 14 days to develop any immunity, given the time it took for covid to show she may not have had any protection from the shot..
Do you know what type of jab it was (single jab or 2} and if it was her first or second shot? Hope she recovered well.
I am 2x vaxxed, but I don't put much faith in it TBH
