One of my best friends did J and J in March also( super high risk), he inquired about mixing and his docs at Hopkins told him he still had protection.
Thanks for this info.
Originally my doc said that, but since I have to go and interface with over 100 ppl next week, I took that antibody test. We decided to go with Moderna, since I have no antibodies basically. For the second shot he said, there is no data yet (from Israel, as we are behind). I have time to think.
I don't know a single person who said they won't take it lol. Everyone I know in Israel got booster 3 or so weeks ago. US is way behind. FYI
The Vice President for one lol. The former head of the FDA, Dr Gottlieb is on the board of Pfizer now, so I’m not shocked Pfizer got the nod of approval. They even changed the name to something catchy like coverdinity or some $hit. Lol. I can’t believe you’d lie to jump in line in front of people who need it more like elderly / immunocompromised, but hey looking out for those at risk right?
Hey Dr. House, if she has zero, none, nada, nil antibodies in her system...... after a conclusive test, what do you suggest she do to get a few in her?
Any advice is helpful doc.
I should stand up to the virus, or I am coward lol.

I should correct myself - single person in medical / scientific community.
There is no line where I am at. You can walk in in any cvs and get it. Secondly, I am not discussing my medical conditions in a public forum.
I had J&J in March also.
But I'm done having vaccines. If I die I die.

Welcome to the antivaxxers crew. You filthy demon woman. :)

We're still having this conversation? I don't think any of this has changed any minds... Well one person did so I guess it was all worth it.

We have now advanced to second dose or boosters. When are you gonna get yours?

The suppository version is being approved soon called the Pfizer Fister. It's for both Rona and hemorrhoids.

So what's your antibody status? You think you still have those?
Question: why don't ants ever get sick?
they have lil antibodies

No pandemic but it was the same way for me when I was in Basic Training in 1976, no one asked what we had, just one big line up and about 8 or 10 needle stations and we all walked the gauntlet. We all lived
That’s what my daughter said. I will live :) I was freaking out about this booster and was on the phone with her and she said - mom, we have double vaxxed here, go get it, you need it :)
Anyway, just sharing my experience if anyone got JJ and thinking about booster.
-
I was talking to my oldest daughter who joined the military during the pandemic. Everyone is vaccinated and some are double vaccinated (at least where she is at) and nobody asked her in medical what vaccines she got before joining. She got like 10 of them at once, nobody asked how she was feeling either. Got that chit and move on :) Stop politicizing this pandemic. Get the damn vaccine, wear the damn mask, have a caramel macchiatoand stfu :) lol. Seriously, Trump, Biden, and other politicians are vaccinated. We on boosters now, and you still talking about Kamala :)
Caramel frappe from mcds way better than the bold junk above
Agree with the rest :D

Got my second shot on March 29th, so sometime in November.

They can’t really check for the types of “antibodies” that offer long term protection. Just like flawed studies that infer because a specific type of immune response is greater from vaccination than post infection immunity vaccination is better immunity. This contradicts the data that confirmed reinfection is more rare than “breakthrough” infections, which the CDC decided (in good faith and science) to stop tracking vaccine failures unless people end up hospitalized or dead.
A lot of the human genome is actually “junk” viral genetic sequences, built into the “spaces” of our genomic sequence. This is what helps create long term immunity and likely has an effect on epigenetics.
Ant bodies. I like it.

That’s true. My doc said that “you should at least have some”, so I went with that

I’m actually surprised we haven’t seen unvaccinated kids arrested for bioterrorism yet for this.
Sean Penn said unvaccinated people in public is like pointing a gun at peoples heads. CDC will be picking this one up soon.
Soon.
So I had JJ back in March and my sister had Pfizer. I got my antibodies result today and I have NONE. And she has antibodies. I have to go back to work where I interface with a lot of people. I got Moderna today and will get another shot in Sep. Hoping to also change my DNA to be skinny and rich. Fingers crossed
Sorry to hear that :( But, glad you got Moderna.
Got my Moderna 2 shots at CVS and will get the booster in 7 months, if I live that long ;)

Getting additional shots due to waning antibodies is misguided. Here is a good article from Dr. Amesh Adalja, who is highly pro-vaccine and mandatory vaccination at that.
The most common evidence cited for the need for boosters is waning antibody levels. However, this is not – in and of itself – enough. First, we do not know what level of antibody (and the rarely accounted for T-cell immunity) is needed for immunity. We also do not have clinical evidence of true vaccine failure against important outcomes like hospitalization. There is non-peer reviewed data from Moderna showing higher efficacy with higher antibody titers but importantly, as the paper states, it is limited by the fact that efficacy against severe COVID was not assessed.
It is well known that antibody levels fall and then spring back up post-exposure (to the virus or the vaccine). That is how the immune system works – it is anamnestic. It “remembers” after the primary response and mounts a heightened response that staves off severe illness using both T-cells and antibodies in the secondary response. We fully expect antibodies to fall as time from exposure to vaccine or infection increases and we fully expect them to rise upon re-exposure. This isn’t vaccine failure; it’s just how the immune system works. That, infections in the vaccinated are generally mild is evidence of this process working.
The CDC just had an update on its vaccine comparisons. Something to think about.

During the summer of last year, it came out about 10% of Congress owned stock in Pfizer. And now it's the first "officially approved" one. Wonder how many own stock in Pfizer now.
If you are a politician, you should have to sell all your stock and have no stake in any of it. It's a major conflict of interest and reeks of corruption.

When they opened up vaccines to the elderly in... April I think it was, I found a date two days out in a local clinic's schedule that was completely open so I scheduled both of us so that I'd know she was less likely to get sick and die (She's 88, she gets sick she's probably done for even though she's in great health) and it turned out a lot of other young people were in getting vaccinated, nobody cared at all, so we both have the Pfizer done.
My wife works in healthcare so she had already long gotten hers at that point.

At the time name recognition, percentages in studies, what other countries were using, and availability were the main factors for my choice. I had never heard of Moderna.

True for many.

True. I'm most familiar with J&J over their cancer lawsuits and pfizer for their various lawsuits.

Modern \a will most likely get approval as well. They results of the trials are incredibly similar. Moderna just filed about a month later for the FDA approval. I haven't combed through every data point but I'd be surprised if Moderna approval isn't coming. JnJ could be interesting as the ratio of harm to treatment be edit doesn't seem as strong.

I am pretty confident the FDA isn't being manipulated as some would suspect.
I do think the point in general of politicians stock holdings is an interesting discussion. Should they be unallowed to participate in single stock ownership?

And before covid if someone said name 3 pharmaceutical stocks, I bet Pfizer is a name that comes to mind.
Off the top of my head , Merck, Teva,Pfizer, Roche, Eli Lilly.
