Wait, you taught my Son how to deadlift, is that info no good now???

Maybe just the Walgreens he went to. Lol
That’s why no one was there to monitor that teenager I guess. What if a life was lost and that loss could’ve been avoided if there was someone monitoring that kid. Seriously pisses me off!!
Maybe. I thought it was like nose tork but with whisky and instead of sniffing it you chug it. I don't deadlift anymore so I'll never know but from my one time experience it was no bueno.
Practice makes perfect bruh....Just curious, what made you stop deadlifting? Was it interfering with BJJ?
don't get me wrong dude...

You don't find anything wrong with an employer telling you if you are not vaccinated you can't work here? Are you kidding me bro?

Seems like the mainstream media is pushing an agenda. I'm seeing plenty of news outlets printing the same thing.
Yet local medical centers do not ask for your vaccination status for employment. Pretty interesting to say the least...you'd think out of all employers that would be the place to require it, yet they don't.

That's just not true. Even before Covid I had to provide vaccination records, yearly TB tests, etc to maintain my position and provide documentation many times I entered a new location. Very few places in my area don't require some sort of medical steps to have been taken and provided proof to be on premises as an employee or even a contractor or vendors.

Nope. Before facial hair was appropriate many corporate jobs said you couldn't have any. Many places won't let you bring a firearm or knife into work. Businesses can make their own rules for employees and you have the freedom to decide if you'd like to work for them or not.
Practice makes perfect bruh....Just curious, what made you stop deadlifting? Was it interfering with BJJ?
It was big time those and squats. My hips and lower back just couldn't keep up. I still do farmers carries which I think translate well for BJJ (grip work) so I still pick things up but I have had to dial back my weight/volume under the iron and alter my approach because it was beating me down.

Yeah they have like little clinics in ours with PAs providing basic stuff like that. I could have done the “physical” was basically like is the kid alive check yes or no. Yep, almost everything requires a physical these days. The form you get is good for 2 years, just a CYA liability thing.
...I hear some people who will say "Covid vaccine is rushed and dangerous" meanwhile take a pill a doctor prescribes them without hesitation or questioning anything...
This. I was one of those people. My wife, who's a nurse, actually pointed out these side effects of a very common antibiotic that most people take with no hesitation:
Increase the risk of tendinitis, tendon rupture, and peripheral neuropathy in people of all ages, which can lead to serious side effects, such as:
nerve pain and a sensation of pins and needles
chronic pain
burning, numbness, or weakness in the joints and muscles
swelling and pain in the joints and tendons
tendon rupture
changes in the nerves of the hands, arms, feet, and legs
These symptoms may come on after just one or two doses and may last for years. It is unknown yet whether some of the symptoms and changes, especially nerve changes, are permanent.
May cause side effects to the central nervous system (CNS), such as:
nervousness
agitation
insomnia
anxiety
nightmares
paranoia
dizziness
confusion
tremors
hallucinations
depression
suicidal thoughts
I fully understand why some people are hesitant to get the Covid vaccination. Like I said, I was one of them. But I've taken conventional medications over the years without really looking into (naively, I admit) some real side effects they may cause. I have a co-worker whose 20 year old daughter had a severe reaction to Tylenol (intestinal bleeding that required hospitalization) a few years ago. All medications come with side effects and unfortunately some people may react to it with dire consequences.... even Tylenol.

Made an appointment today for the JJ vaccine. One and done thanfully. About to take 50 mg of zinc and some tylenol before heading over.

This^ you won’t need the Tylenol until tomorrow. Just about everyone gets a pretty sore arm, similar to tetanus vaccine.

Yeah I didn't get any sore arm and didn't need any Tylenol. It's a damn good thing you don't get PMS cramps, you'd prolly die.. (not you but collective y'all :D)

Almost everyone I’ve talked to IRL had a sore arm. You are probably just really tough.
Yeah my wife’s PMS almost kills me instead :)

Of all the needles and vaccines I got and there were many, the only time I got a sore arm, was from the gun, the injection site was swollen up the size of a half egg and thought my arm was going to fall off, kind of actually hoping it did at one point

Tetanus gets me every time. I’m probably due for a booster there. Just feel like a deep bruise. Just got back from a road trip to my vet (2+ hrs each way). Dog got 3 shots today. He’s wiped out now (mostly from excitement and “surfing” in the back of the van). We had a nice lunch at a deli type place, now it’s nap time for the dog and I.
Usually make a day trip out of it, but 50mph winds today put a damper on a hike in the woods. Made the drive unpleasant too.

I did get sore arm from tetanus though just not the J&J one.

Yeah wind can be a spoiler...
I try to stay up to date on my Tetanus, my old man stepped on a nail and got lock jaw, after seeing what he went thru I try my best to stay up on that one lol

Seriously?! It’s often fatal once it gets very far along. I try to stay up to date as well. I think it’s 10 years but they’ll do a booster after 5 if you get a rusty metal cut.
Yeah I hate the wind. Even though it’s nearly 80 it’s just fatiguing driving and dangerous in the woods. I remember a camping trip we had where we were in strong winds for 2 days (open area near a lake, no trees above us). It wears on you.
-
I still haven't been vaxxed, but I'm going to. I am miles from civilization.
I heard we have a 30-day grace period to get vaxxed or we'll be banned :(
The Great Systemic Banning.

Yep, He was in horrible shape and was hospitalized for a while... Yeah the wind messes with all my hobbies lol, I hunted moose and deer on maple ridges for many years, have seen limbs that have come down like spears, stuck in the ground several feet, no chance if you got hit by them. I stayed in camp on real windy days lol

It may depend on which vaccine you get. I've heard Moderna tends to be considerably worse than Pfizer when it comes to the sore arm side effect.

Yup, I can definitely see that. I'm always a bit stiff after heavy squats/deadlifts, so I can't imagine that would be a good physical state to be in when practicing BJJ.
