I'm still holding out. At my age I should have been jabbed a long time ago. Like you, I'm not anti-vax at all but I'm against the mandates. I've completely lost confidence in the medical community because of how this has all played out. The only science being used in this is political science...

Fixed that for you with my reasoning being we will never ever get the true numbers of how many died from Covid itself. We know the reported cases of our typical yearly flu were down so is it possible covid filled in that gap? How many would have died anyways due to all sorts of other illnesses / co-morbidities they already had? How many were lumped into covid so hospitals and other businesses that get federal $$$ for this crap could continue to get these big dollars?

Look how quick Biden and team jumping on this latest Omicron variant to shut down air travel, extend mask mandates, force people to get vaccinated, etc when all reports so far have been this variant is pretty damn weak and seems to result in sore muscles and tiredness. A lot of this is a power grab that those who have it don't want to ever let go of it.

I waited it out for a while to see how things went with the shots, I wasn’t going to get them at first but if you want to have any kind of social life you may as well bite the bullet and get them. Just got my second a couple days ago, going back to all my favourite diners asap.

I'd rather move to a non-authoritarian location, but that's just me. I've been traveling to the freedom-based states. No international travel planned. Glad I got most of that travel over the last decade. Likely not going anywhere international for a few years I guess. I traveled to Hawaii, which had a lot of stupid restrictions, won't do that again. I'm not traveling anywhere with restrictions.

There's a lot to be said about the healthcare system in the US and practically none of it is good due to it's for profit nature that sucks money up to CEOs and away from our health. The last time I checked the US was like 37th in the world in healthcare outcomes. Remember when the last president promised affordable healthcare, a wall to keep out illegals, and a tax code that could be simplified to a piece of paper? How did all that go? Healthcare would be so much simpler with a single payer system like Medicare, but right wing media and propaganda has fooled so many people into thinking the capitalistic nature of our healthcare system is #1, when it actually sucks azz.

The libertarian crew wants to privatize everything except for roads, bridges, and the military. It's already underway. Who needs gubmint? lol... Government done right can be a great thing. The problem is the wealthy who are leaching off of the system and the systematic erosion of the middle class. Wake up people. This has been the downfall of every great civilization. Read a book. We're sitting here fighting amongst ourselves when the real enemies are building spacecraft and have $100M yachts. In the US we're all one serious injury or illness away from medical bankruptcy, but our system is #1, right? What a joke.

Stop discussing the real problems with real solutions. No one is listening. We're too polarized to become one. It's all part of the plan.
