Have had the two-dose Pfizer vaccine, and one booster vaccine since (maybe six months ago). Probably due another booster by now.

Do you qualify where you are? I am 6+ months from my booster but don't believe I qualify for another. Unless things have changed, I do tune out the news.

So you had three "jabs" that didn't work, got covid, and are now interested in getting another jab? :D Jeez they really did a number on you....

Didn't work?

Well, extending your extreme logic, I've had 3 jabs and I've never (AFAIK) had covid. So the jabs worked.
I have 3 family members in the medical field. They claim that 90% of the people currently hospitalized for covid are non vaccinated. So it seems the vax is doing something even though it's not preventing people from getting covid.

Was he young and healthy before getting Covid, or did the shot lessen the severity of his symptoms?
Or was it both?
:)
yeah it’s been working so well. Might as well just keep pumping sh*t into your body every time there’s a new variant.
Funny post on a bodybuilding forum, but I'd recommend avoiding injecting "sh*t" into your body. I have seen patients who have actually done that, and it never turned out to be a good idea.
Vaccines on the other hand, they almost always turn out to be a good idea. You can make a little of a specific protein after getting one of the mRNA vaccines, or you can grow a bunch of different proteins in greater quantity after you get exposed to the actual virus. Sort of like you can eat a steak, or you can eat a cow. Do you really want the bones, brains, intestines and cow sh*t? Because you sound like you want high exposure to all the viral proteins, not just the one the vaccines code for. Either way, the immunity is natural since you make the antibodies in both scenarios.
Even funnier than the injecting sh*t comment is that you only get something remotely resembling "un-natural" immunity if you get super sick and we have to give you monoclonal antibodies like casirivimab and imdevimab to save your life. Since that's much more likely to happen if you aren't vaccinated... .
mgftp,
I haven't signed in for a while, but I'm glad to hear you're feeling better.
Day 5 of Covid, fever resolved yesterday, and now I am left with some very minor cold/flu symptoms. Felt good enough to go out today and mow the lawn, trim hedges, and cut down some trees, although now I am pretty tired, might need a nap, ha. Besides the fever that is the biggest impact of Covid for me, the fatigue.
I am still testing positive, going to give me an excuse to take some more time off work next week, which is nice I guess.

The fatigue I had was legit next-level. Never experienced anything like it. It was almost a good feeling towards the end, when I would take a nap and wake up.
Glad you boys are on the mend!

COVID-19 cases are continuing to surge in New York City and unvaccinated residents are bearing the brunt.
Data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention shows that, as of Wednesday, the Big Apple has a seven-day case rate of 369.8 per 100,000, the second-highest rate in the United States, only behind California.
On July 17, New York City recorded a seven-day average of 4,380 cases, 14% higher than the average of 3,828 cases recorded two weeks ago, according to the city's

This is what the docs in my family say too - the really sick are for the most part unvaccinated. And many of them are asking for the vaccine when they get really sick - too late.
Read 50% of hospitalizations are triple vaxxed cucks. Can anyone confirm?

VHHA represents about 110 Virginia area hospitals. Walker shared these stats regarding patients' vaccination status, as of this date of publication:
Mary Washington Healthcare - about 54% of patients are unvaccinated, 69% of their ICU patients are unvaccinated, nearly 74% of those on ventilators are unvaccinated
Riverside Health System - 54% unvaccinated
Ballard Health - 87% unvaccinated, 94% of their ICU patients are unvaccinated, about 97% of those on ventilators are unvaccinated
Valley Health - 86% unvaccinated

More recent than the NPR link:
https://www.health.pa.gov/topics/disease/coronavirus/Pages/Post-Vaccination-Data.aspx
The Department of Health's monthly update on COVID-19 post-vaccination cases, commonly known as "breakthrough," includes data from January 1, 2021 to May 11, 2022, which shows the overwhelming majority of cases, hospitalizations and deaths were among unvaccinated, or not fully vaccinated, people:
69 percent of reported COVID-19 cases were in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people.
81 percent of reported hospitalizations with COVID-19 as the primary diagnosis/cause of admission were in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people.
77 percent of COVID-19-related deaths among individuals who had an infection date between January 1, 2021 and May 11, 2022 were in unvaccinated or not fully vaccinated people.
Always the same bogus links to the same bogus studies on the bogus sites.
Read 50% of hospitalizations are triple vaxxed cucks. Can anyone confirm?
Maybe. I actually haven't done the math, so let's do it here. I found the Washington State numbers current as of last week. Their data says from 12 years old and up unvaccinated people are 3x more likely to be hospitalized than vaccinated people. At 65 years and up they're also 3x more likely to die. I'll explain why I mention that after we do rough back of the envelope math on hospitalizations using the 3:1 rate and our national 67% vaccination rate.
Figuring that 33 out of every 100 are 3x as likely to be hospitalized as the other 67 gives you a 99:67 hospitalization ratio. Simple math gives me a 6:4 ratio, so we should see unvaccinated patients making up about 60% of those hospitalized.
The reality is it probably varies a lot and it could be 50:50 in states where 75% or so of the population is vaccinated.
Gotta give this one to Fishnbrah. He's way closer than 90:10 or 99:1.
The problem with anecdotal stories is the staff of the hospital are really only going to be impressed by the super sick crowd and the ones who die. With the 3x more likely to be hospitalized and the 3 fold increase in dying, there will be almost 9 times as many dying who are unvaccinated. Right? Nope, wait, I'm wrong, just under 4.5 times as many.
9x33:67. 9x33.3:66.6 would be 4.5x as many dying of covid. It's also possible we assume people with more comorbidities were more likely to get vaccinated, that we'll blame comorbidities for deaths if patients were vaccinated, and blame their not getting vaccinated for the deaths if they weren't. I don't doubt they believe they're seeing a 90:10 ratio. They're as human as anyone else and there's got to be just massive implicit bias in health care providers. Self validation and such about our jobs. Just like the people at the supplement stores telling you about the massive gains you get from MrMike'sMaxMuscleMassMultiplierMilk.
(Don't inject that either, Tom. That sh!t could almost kill you ;) )
