Interesting.
How many of of them got severely sick? Like sick like a dog?
I’m assuming nothing majorly unfortunate happened to them else you would’ve said something. Or no?

The virus is carried in the moisture exhaled from the lungs of infected persons. No? It’s not directly flying out of the lung and into the air. Or is it?
Srs question
The majority of the people in my zone are vaccinated and the majority of cases are in the unvaccinated, seeing some cases in the vaccinated but that is to be expected since the vast majority is vaxxed.
Considering the Delta variant was the worse so far and given the rapid decline in cases, It obvious that the vax has slowed the spread.

Such dumb logic that is completely unprovable, which is why I dub people like you dishonest.
Your claim: See they didn’t go to the hospital so it shows that the shot works.
Perhaps those people would have never gone to the hospital if they didn’t have the shot as well.
Also, I know plenty of people that had gotten Covid pre-Covid shot release and guess what. They didn’t go to the hospital either.

You don’t even know if you had delta unless you got it genetically sequenced. They aren’t doing those on individuals.

Point being that the vast vast majority of people can’t say they got delta, because they simply don’t know.
But knuckleheads like yourself just eat it up and create repeating Delta, Delta, Delta!

If that's a serious question, the serious answer is that the virus is carried on droplets. Some relatively large that are easily caught by a mask and some that are tiny aerosol that are not.
That's why masks (used correctly) reduce transmission (because they stop a high proportion of droplets) but not all droplets which is why that proportion isn't 100%
But the size of the virus itself is largely irrelevant
Please can we stop talking about Delta, that's so last season. The cool kids are all talking about Delta2. (d.2 / AY4.2) follow the fashion, that's the one to get this week.

Listen here douchebag, I don't recall saying anyone said they had Delta, I said "Considering the Delta variant was the worse so far" If you are trying to impress me with your wealth of knowledge you are failing miserably. Even a 12 year old can google the nonsense you are spilling out. So you just keep throwing out garbage and trying to belittle people, it truly is testimony to your lack of knowledge and character. You are just another troll, so with all due respect, go fuk yourself. I won't be engaging with you because you obviously can't carry on a discussion in a civil manner.

Oh No! Fingers crossed for ya man...
Are you being tested because of a known exposure or symptoms?

Symptoms. Match Covid pretty good but of course before Covid I'd say bad cold or flu. We'll see.
Thanks

Yeah but the symptoms are so much like a very bad cold (at first anyway, unless a minor case) you can't match symptoms. I feel terrible, really bad cold. I was using a very concentrated bleach product to remove mold, when used in past it's so strong I can still smell it on clothes skin (even though wearing gloves etc) the rest of the day unless I change and shower even then I can smell on hands. Today I can hardly smell it even while working with it, never had that before!
Lateral flow test today (and test yesterday also) was negative, so I am very unlikely to have COVID even though I have matching symptoms including loss of smell.
Don't match symptoms, get a test.

All the best. I have a friend who has not been vaxxed and he has had COVID twice. The first was mild, but he said the second time it kicked his ass. He is 36 and not overweight. But, he got over it without meds.

Got tested (positive) the next Tuesday and was feeling pretty blah that night. Recieved 4 antibodies shots (2 each arm) on Thursday and was back to normal in 24 hours. Slight lingering cough and some drainage were his only remaining symptoms.

Interesting and good for them. Greg, are antibody shots another term for vaccine or booster?

Oh yeah, that's why I am getting a test. I have been wondering about my sense of smell, could very well just be congestion though.

Yea, seems very much luck of the draw although age, shape, and vaxx status definitely matter I. Those I know who has had it. With that said I do not a not so old, not so fat, and vaxxed person who didn't do so great.
Greg, are antibody shots another term for vaccine or booster?
No, they are the monoclonal antibody treatment. 2 shots in the back of each arm.
Not sure of the requirements that one must have to recieve this treatment.
His grown son contracted Guillain-Barre syndrome in March and is currently paralyzed from the neck down. That may be how they qualified.

From what I've read the vax will reduce immunity for about a month after the first shot. Sure seems risky considering the side effects.
Monoclonal antibodies seem to be better than the vax and will be what I obtain if ever exposed.
Pill cut hospitalizations, deaths by half among patients with early COVID-19 symptoms, Merck says
Pharmaceutical company Merck agreed to allow other drugmakers to produce its COVID-19 pill, in a move aimed at helping millions of people in poorer countries get access to the potentially life-saving drug, a United Nations-backed public health organization said on Wednesday.

Yes. I mean with Covid there is of course the fear of how bad will it get for me? But I like my chances being in decent shape and vaccinated. I can't lie, both times I went for Covid tests part of me wanted to easy time off work to quarantine and some more antibodies.

Not sure why anyone would try to convince you of that. It's not how your immune system works. We actually saw improvement within 2 weeks, but there was no negative effect prior to that. Post a reference if you have time.

This article alludes to it: https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/news-perspective/2021/10/protection-immune-response-fall-after-pfizer-covid-vaccine-data-show
"In the first 2 weeks after the first dose of the Pfizer vaccine, estimated VE against any SARS-CoV-2 infection was less than 0."
I've been told by a scientist that the pharma companies are leaving out that data until a week or two after 2nd vaccination to increase the efficacy rate, which leaves us with little data of what happens immediately after vaccination. I would call that manipulated data to fit vaccine narrative / reduce hesitancy. I'm curious if that's true and if I have time, I'll read the footnotes of those efficacy claims by big pharma, unless you already know?
There's also anecdotal data from people I know, which can't be considered, of course.

But now that I lack those sweet natural antibodies I am back to wondering if I should schedule that booster.
