Omicron is far worse than other variants, unless you count deadliness, contagiousness, and severity of symptoms.
Dr. Fauci has teased a Fauci's cut of Omicron coming in the Spring for the hardcore fans.
Studies have found that people who are concerned about Omicron are 729% more likely to be scared little whiny babies.

Crazy that the New York governor just implemented a mask mandate for all indoor businesses and for businesses to enforce the mandate.

We got the Maderna.
No issues....no concerns for us.
The previous (2) were Maderna also so maybe it's a [I]protocol [/I](so to speak) to stick with the same pharmamarketer....just a guess.
Oh....in ref to my earlier post about my good friends daughter doing heavy research and autopsies at a hoity toily facility in NY stating "97% of those that died of Corona were not vaccinated"?
I asked our stabber this morning about that claim?...is that a regional stat of NY only or the whole US?
Her response...."the whole US".

I got the first two jabs for work and so I can go to restaurants, concerts and my adventure club events, but I'm really reluctant to get the Booster shot because I felt like they were injecting poison in my body. For the first shot I had such severe arm pain I couldn't sleep, and with the second shot I had a fever of 102 and chills.
I have a feeling I'm going to get forced to get the booster since I'm in California and everyone is so strict about the vaccinations here. I just also read the Misc. and get nervous about it. I don't know if I'll be forced to by my employer as well.

Which vaccine did you get for the first 2 shots?
Also, while most of the vaccines are safe for you to get a booster, I will be surprised if they try to mandate a booster. That'd be pushing it even for California.

I got Pfizer. I went to SantaCon San Francisco yesterday and they checked vax cards at every bar and restaurant. Ugh.

I haven't worn a mask since the mandate expired except to my kids concert so I'll have to dig them all out and wash them. I'm injured right now but looks like ill have to wear one when I get back on the mats doing BJJ because we don't have a vax mandate at out school. Sucks but most people I know will just do what we need to do and move on.

Hope you pull out of that injury soon. It's tough enough trying to wear a mask working out, but for BJJ, where you are breathing hard, has to be tougher.

I'll wear a gator so not bad. Normal masks fall off too easily. School wrestling programs have been wearing masks the entire time which is beyond stupid.

Early on i bought the Under Armour mask but haven't started using it until mask mandate #2 surfaced here 2 weeks ago.

From my POV.....with all the divisiveness on this mess it's damn near impossible to form a rational opinion.
But, I did get a corroboration on this stat regardless of whether people feel it has true merit or not is on them.
People can make their own decisions which means total accountability for any less than favorable outcomes.
If 10% of people get a 'bad reaction' is that sample logically large enough reason that I shouldn't get vaxed?
Well....it's a judgment call....us adults have to make them all the time.
I guess I'm to dumb to understand all the popular recalcitrant narratives during a pandemic.
If I were asked about 'mandates'....I'd say 'no'.
If I'm fully vaxxed and I don't give a shvt what others do and I'll be accountable for the outcome of that personal decision.
I don't know...to each their own.

Wayne I am of a similar mindset as you, Earlier on I have seen reports similar to the numbers that you mentioned. I believe vaccinations have a place and will help. We would be a hell of a lot worse off without them imo. I don't think they will save us, I think we need to be fighting this on many fronts and covid treatment should be at the top of that list.
Like you I am against mandates. What irks me the most about mandates are the heroes such a doctors, nurses, emt, firefighters, frontline workers such as grocery clerks, etc... being mandated, when these poor buggers worked unvaccinated st the forefront of the pandemic to serve us putting their own health and that of their families at risk and now are losing their jobs because they opt not to be vaxxed. Give these people a free pass, they earned it FFS
