Basically a lot of drug medication isn't as effective for women as they are for men. Because most studies use all male or majority male mice.

I then did a search on CVS vaccines and most stores have Pfizer, Moderna and another one. So, my fault really for not inquiring when I went in for my first shot.

Some countries are mixing, Canada has been doing it on the regular. I did read though that Barbados isn't recognixing Mixing the two and anyone visiting will have to Quarantine for a period prior to entry. Probably not a good idea for worldly travellers to mix and match.

Did not expect that kind of response to what seemed like a pretty bland statement, I suppose it just shows how polarized things have become lately. To clarify my statement what I meant was that I believe that we should use data and evidence to drive decisions, but that the amount of evidence required to say anything definitively from a science perspective is a lot more that most lay folks realize. In the case of Los Angeles I think what's really going on is a combination "Let's be seen to be DOING SOMETHING regardless of effectiveness" and zero risk / infinite cost mentality "anything we can do to save even one life is worth it". At this point in the United States, if you're not vaccinated it's by choice and you take your chances. For the rest of society to impose mandatory restrictions to protect those who won't engage in self-care is pointless. Now, if we get something worse than the delta variant that has significant break-through potential it might be worth looking at re-imposing those kinds of measures, but we're not there yet. With Pfizer I've got about a 1in3 chance of getting sick from Delta and a 1in14 chance of being hospitalized from a population statistics perspective, that's a reasonable level of protection and doesn't warrant government over-reach.

Going by science and stats the people getting delta are not vaccinated.
