I was giving my dog her monthly heart worm prevention this morning. I was so excited to find that she's also protected from Covid-19!!! :D

That's what I take. The only side effect is the itching.

That's why dogs lick their ass...Apparently you didn't read the fine print instructions

Since I only got the J&J vaccination, I chewed off one of the corners of her September dose for some added protection. :p
Israel has become the Covid capital of the world despite leading the charge on vaccines, in a clear warning sign that Britain, the US and other highly-immunised nations are still vulnerable to another wave.

I don't remember what exactly he said but I remember him saying something really stupid about the vaccine and having to apologize with some statement that he isn't a doctor, lol.
He made a comment something to the point of, if your young, in your late teens or 20's and in good shape he didn't see the need to get vaccinated.

Didn’t read yet, but the charts make you wonder if it’s a booster that’s needed or a do over. Looks like they started boosters awhile ago, do they talk about any breakthroughs in those people?
Got my first jab from one of the new, shiny Comirnaty labelled Pfizer vials a couple of hours ago. It is kind of ironic timing with everything coming out of Israel. :D

I won’t be shocked if I’m affected by mandates. Not really concerned but it’s going to be really bad optics for efficacy if that trend occurs here, and that’d be about the time (November range). That’s when they were going to approve it for younger kids which seems silly considering there has been 400 deaths in under 17 age group total since the start. I’m guessing most of those had significant contributing factors. The risk would seem to favor not forcing it on kids.

I know, I'm basically the only one in my family advocating for my son to be left alone. He turns 18 soon and will probably get it due to pressure. Honestly it's a lot of the reason that I ended up just getting it myself. My modest concerns about unknown downstream consequences no longer outweighed the inability to see my mom and other elderly family that gets their news from CNN. *shrug*
I actually don't think the optics in Israel are that bad when the numbers are scrutinized. The vaccine is still doing fairly well compared to unvaccinated people who never had covid. If anything, maybe it help push back on the obsession over number of cases rather than number of cases of severe disease. While it may all come as a surprise to the general population as to how the vaccines are functioning, I think anyone with a moderately informed mind could see this kind of thing happening.

I was hopeful they would have stayed highly effective for prevention, but nature is tricky. Obviously the data is still holding pretty well on preventing bad outcomes, but even then, elderly / immunocompromised are at a much higher risk than most. That is life though, everyone is going to eventually die of something.

How do you feel?
Any strange, well documented things going on with you yet?
A sore shoulder does not count, we workout and are used to pain or should be.

I actually had them hit me in the same shoulder where I've got some bursitis or something else giving me lingering pain from training already, so yeah, any soreness will be indistinguishable from status quo. :) Haven't felt any different whatsoever yet.

This cuts both ways. One persons desire for zero risk of disease does not outweigh the other persons personal safety to put into their body what they want. It's also simply not a good meme for covid regarding vaccinations because someone else's vaccination status has little bearing on your own personal safety.
If we really believed this meme we would outlaw swimming pools yesterday. There are more deaths by drowning for kids under 15 in a typical year than the entire pandemic. Why should someone be able to have a luxury item that poses such an imminent risk to children!
Any definitive evidence that the population will need boosters? Or boosters just for the immuno-compromised?

damn, the dark days really are coming arent they. my soul is peppered.
My company decided to go full retard and make vaccination an employment requirement. No proof of vaccination by Sept 30th and you are out.
So I started looking for a new job.
In 2 weeks I got a dozen of cold calls from recruiters plus several answers to my job applications. I have an offer for a job 2 levels above what I am doing now and $30K over my current salary. Meanwhile another company is begging me to please please not accept that offer until they have the chance to make a counter offer.
Dear vaccine nazis, you can eat sweaty hairy balls.

It seems very reasonable for masks in public places though.
Also, why use pools? We don't outlaw accidents and we actually do require fences around inground pools. I have to have a locking gate too, and if some kid drowned in my pool because the gate lock was broken, I would be liable.
Why not use cars? Maybe we should outlaw cars that can go over 75mph in the US? Or should we put a GPS tracker in all new cars so you get a ticket every time you exceed the speed limit by more than 10%?
After all, 38,000 deaths each year and 4 million injuries that require treatment, and speeding is a contributor in about 1 third of those. And all we'd really be doing is enforcing the laws we already have in place.
We don't do things like that partly because it would be unpopular, but also because if you injure someone else while speeding, we can see the event. With COVID, we can't see if a patient dies because somebody with the sniffles decided they "couldn't" be forced to wear a mask in Walmart and sneezed on them.
Every right we protect or provide with our constitution has limits. That meme essentially says you may have the right to swing your fists, but that right ends at the tip of someone else's nose.

So nice of you! Yeah been at my company 15 years, so not easy to pull the plug but any company that wants to see my medical papers to employ me can eat sweaty hairy balls.
So yeah when people say "well, what are you doing about it?" I can say I quit my job over it. Enough people do that and this crazy chit will stop.

Jason, this shocked me, so I looked it up. I'm not finding anything close to 650,000 deaths per year from all drownings let alone under 15 yrs old. Not trying to argue, but where did you find this stat? Just curious.
