I heard that was the hardest bit. They had the virus ready for several years, but it couldn't be released until the nano vaccine was finished.
(Steve Jobs was changing his mind about it and wanted to use Apple nano chips, that's why Bill Gates had to get rid of him and make it look natural causes).
Anyway, the first releases of the vaccine, people kept making the Windows® noises when they woke up or fell asleep. They managed to get a hotfix for it late summer 2019, only just in time for the October release date!!
Fkn chit no wonder I hear windows 95 startup and shutdown sounds when I wake up and fall asleep. Sometimes it’s NT sounds.
Then there are times I just endlessly get stuck in a poses and turn blue until someone restarts me by laying me down and wake up after a short power nap. Sounds familiar? (Windows blue screen of death)
What have I done?!?

My second vaccine was a nightmare. Fever, bone aches, painful arm. I somehow made it through work Thursday and Friday but I was really cranky. I started feeling better yesterday.
I mostly got it because I care for my elderly family and I want to ditch the mask. I live in California so I bet they will check our vaccine cards before we enter stores or some crazy rule.

No, you are hearing win 95 and NT because you are still one of the guys that still uses outdated OS, I hope you don’t use them at your job, if so, I hope they are isolated from everything else.

We just had my wife’s grandparents over for my son’s birthday. Her grandpa has lingering leg issues for a month now, bone aches etc from second Pfizer dose. I hadn’t herd of that until today. Most people I’ve talked to who had side effects just have covid like symptoms (muscle aches, fatigue, fever etc) that clear in a day or so. He’s actually regretting it a bit. Her grandma had no sides and we believe she had covid (hospitalized for “pneumonia” when we suspect we had it in January of 20).

I'm sorry but this is a pretty dumb statement. You can't deduce long term effects by increasing sample size any more than you can ask 9 women to have a baby in 1 month.

There's places in Essex that have beer cans at Christmas but not many Christmas trees. There are also placed in Essex that have Ferrari on the drive. Depending which bit of Essex, your song could have been written about the Essex over here
If you save up, you could buy a house like this...

That's a decent amount of time; certainly not too soon. I just read that the 16 weeks Quebecers were supposed to wait between Pfizer doses is going to be somewhat shortened.

Why would they be doing 16 weeks between? I thought efficacy studies were done with 28 days between the doses. Is that just due to socialized medicine backlogs?

I think the original thought was to get as many people a first dose as possible. I don't remember the number, but apparently, after the first dose it's a very small percentage of the population that can contract the virus and even then, the severity is profoundly reduced.

My appetite has been off since the 2nd Moderna dose on April 1st. I've cooked food and not eaten it, thrown out 1/2 of a perfectly good meal and can go 20 hours without eating and still not be hungry. Needless to say this isn't good for a heavy weightlifter. I've been doing a protein shake during my workouts but it's still rare for me to get 80g a day when I should be getting 300g. Oddly enough my workouts haven't really suffered.

Had one spike where I was absolutely famished when I woke up, had bacon, eggs and toast. About 2 minutes in the eggs started tasting funny, that may just be that they were homegrown but I usually like homegrown eggs. That was the only time I ate breakfast since my 2nd shot and breakfast has always been my favorite meal.

The funny thing here is that you're both right. The reason Ecto is saying TryingBB's statement is silly is due to an assumption that long term side effects occur after a long period of time. If there is going to be some side effect that won't show up until years after someone got their vaccine, we couldn't know about it now.
The reason TryingBB is correct is because long term side effects are actually side effects that are long lasting, and there has never been one from a vaccine that hasn't shown up within 4 months of getting the vaccination.
There have been vaccines with long term side effects. For example, with the live attenuated polio vaccine, a very small number of people got polio. The risk of getting it from the vaccine was less than the risk of catching the virus, but it was a long term side effect. There was also, possibly, an association between one of the flu vaccines and narcolepsy. I don't think anyone is sure the up-tick in narcolepsy was due to the vaccine, but it might have been. Again, that potential long term side effect was detectable early and if it was associated with Pandemrix, it was due to a cross reactivity of antibodies to the vaccine and hypocretin, and we could find cross reactive antibodies in the people who got the flu too.
To get emergency use authorization the average follow up had to be 2 months. To get full authorization it had to be 6 months. I would have to go look to see if the total follow up on those studies is 1 or 2 years, but we know the mechanism of action of the vaccines we're using and we have enough data to be very confident there aren't any long term side effects.
Happy to answer any questions about this if I can. Also, to whoever posted the link about how long it used to take to develop a vaccine, that story at the beginning was in a way about a horse called Jim, and it's very sad. Google a horse called Jim if you like, but it's a sad story if you do.

I beg to differ.
No mother can have a baby in 1 month.
Vs
Hundreds of Millions have been vaccinated already. This started 5 to 6 months ago if you recall.

Genetics seem to have an impact on where the sound comes from. Most people are experiencing sound making from their mouths but no one is judging you my dear sir. Lol
-
I beg to differ. ...
I disagree that this is a concern, but playing Devil's advocate there is an argument there. Take the examples of moderate exposure levels (moderate by 1970s standards) to Asbestos (crysotile/white) or passive cigarette smoking Over a 6 month period or even 2 years there'd be no statistically significant data to show any link with the exposure to them and to developing mesothelioma/small cell lung cancer, the pattern would only be revealed in much longer term data.
It is a logically sound argument, although I don't believe significant/plausible issue with Covid vaccination. To quote not actually from Aristotle as people may tell you "It is the mark of an educated mind to entertain a thought without accepting it"

When I had covid I had zero appetite, like at all. I thought it was great because it was before the fatigue really kicked in and was early January so it made early 2020 diet a breeze. Was eating a few whey shakes to hit protein and that was about it. Hopefully it will come back, otherwise hit your base macros and get shredded without the hunger.

True. Makes me wonder don't these people who relentlessly complain about government know anything about what's going on in the world or history in general if they spend their days complaining about America. Everyone wants to come here..if we're so bad and corrupt and racist, why is everyone trying to come here and put their lives in danger to come live here?

I'm not American but I see the US edging the wrong direction. It's not just the govt. It's also the media and the education system.

You mean China too, owners of the American Basketball league called NBA, watch the players take back their free speech cause China says so.
PS, you are miss understanding, I kiss the ground here right now, but I also use my rights to express what is wrong right now, if we don't, we will loose it. We are slowly, ask the gym owner who goes to jail for opening his gym and government says close it and won't even pay them, yet bail reform for a car jacker, yet ok, you got kids ? Don't sound like it, I don't, but I care about American kids being able to live like Americans, like how "I' grew up.

I grew up in America, did you? You live in CA, CA along with areas around me are turning into those places people flee from, there were never hacked up bodies around my county growing up, but they are now, these are from gangs.
I don't hate America, but I hate the ones looking to change and make it worse.
