You scared?
Not of Covid.
Am I scared of a nation that sacrifice freedom for security, YES I am scared.
But unlike you I went to restaurants any chance I could, I’m smarter than you, see you don’t get Covid from simply going to a restaurant with your wife, you could with a group of folks you haven’t vetted, but not a one in one dinner even without a mask.

Lol why not? Airborne viruses travel through the air. You could easily catch the rona anywhere someone has been who is shedding virus, regardless of mask unless you are wearing something effective like a level A suit with supplied air or possibly a PAPR for "mostly" protected. There are so many contributing factors, but that is the simplest to understand. You could catch it outside well away from other people if the air currents are right.

If you sit in a restaurant you can take your mask off and be safe. Because the rona only affects those who are over 4-foot tall.
Good thing the rona is racist and it doesn't attack short-femured short Asians.

I haven’t seen this evidence, if this was spread like the movie Outbreak the whole country would have it by now. All it would take is a waiter, cook, waitress to infect the entire city limit.
I saw every damn worker in the place touch their mask then touch a plate.

Latest Covid numbers in our area are on the rise.
We now have 5 daily infections per 100,000 residents, which is up over 100%!! This is very alarming and we highly suggest you do your part to get vaccinated before we hit numbers like Missouri of 33 per 100,000.

That’s 5 too many, Biden 2024, no more empty chairs. The plan, everyone vaccinated first 100 days!!!
I see this has become another creepy chat thread but at any rate I'm getting somewhere with my post Moderna lack of appetite. The other night I got home and my wife was cooking this delicious smelling chicken, when I put it on a plate and held it to my nose it smelled like a wet dog. So it's something with my sense of smell, could just be a sinus infection who knows. Whole thing is getting old quick.
I skim some of the posts so I missed the creepy parts, what did I miss?
Yeah I read some of sinus stuff can last for a while, sorry to hear that.

It is more like a meteorologist projecting a potential storm or tornado 10 days out. Maybe it happens, maybe it doesnt depending on conditions.

You know what’s the most annoying part for me? When all this BS started and they were finding corona on cruise ships, they said they found corona on surfaces inside rooms of people who were tested positive week or up to 10 days I recall after the rooms had been vacant.
Then they talked about how to wash groceries and fresh produce and people licking groceries at grocery stores (fukers - am not surprised tho)
Fuken those two things really got my guard up.
Did they ever clarify what was up with the virus being found on surfaces so many days later?
I hope for the best but plan for the worst - and it’s dragging me down. I’m already unproductive as it is lol (lots of mental work and ball juggling) but it’s worse when you gotta deal with this corona BS. Not doing too well in the top compartment of my head last few days due to some BS drama. Haha

I think 3 days is about the max on surfaces outside of a host, in ideal conditions. Finding genetic material indicating virus WAS present is not the same as active viral particles. More like foot prints showing it was there but RNA viruses are fragile so it wouldn't do well outdoors in the sun (UV) on cloth or porous surfaces like cloth or paper products. It can "hang" in the air for several hours though, so you could potentially walk into a room with poor airflow several hours after someone and get a snootfull of active virus.

I think there will be rural areas that very well could overrun hospital capacities in areas that have not had large numbers of people already infected or vaccinated. The rural areas could have a combination of susceptible population and low hospital capacity. I think most major cities are going to have enough previous cases, higher vaccination rates and larger hospital capacities so they won't likely overfill. I know my area is around 50% total vaccination and like 70% of adults. Plus we had lots of cases and a lot of people who will have post-infection immunity. Little towns that were never really hit and people didn't get vaxxed could end up in trouble though. Probably have to move patients to other hospitals etc.

Didn’t the media say it was contagious and transmittable even if found on surfaces days later. That’s the very initial days when all this was new and we were all locked inside our houses / neighborhoods.
Information even from reliable sources keeps changing (some of it understandably since it’s all relatively new and being researched)
Did they ever backtrack officially from the “transmittable from surfaces days later” claim?
-
I am now fully vaccinated. My posts are COVID-free. Don’t worry.

tryingBB, you believe everything gubmit tells you.
No doubt you have to be careful and think critically but your puddle of piddle which used to little is now rising around you because gubmit is using Delta to force vaccines.
You can’t keep swimming in your pee, the election is just a year or more away sonny.

Fomite transmission was determined to be much lower than originally believed, but still possible is the last I read. 3 days is the max for viable viral particles in ideal conditions from what I last read. Viable particles start to decline rapidly w/in hours of being outside of a host.. Again, you could still identify genetic material much later than 3 days, but it wouldn't be infectious.

Still happening as far as I know, it just turned out that for this particular virus, fomites (a word I just learned in 2020) aren't a particularly common source of transmission. COVID19 seems to be mostly spread through aerosolized droplets, particularly those that are inhaled through the mouth / nose or enter through the soft tissue of the eyes. This is less dangerous than something truly "airborne" like the Measles which is crazy contagious. Since the droplets are fairly heavy by comparison they tend not to have a huge range and can be blocked / reduced by fairly simple barriers that would be mostly worthless against the Measles, cloth masks or plexiglass shields for example can reduce both contact and viral load (if you get less of it to start you have a better chance of fighting it off or having a mild case). The droplets will build up over time in enclosed spaces so duration of exposure does matter.

I choose NOT to take the jab, just like you chose to get jabbed.
Our body our choice.
This is true.
Have you ever considered that counties that voted for Trump are at 35% vaccination rates while those that voted for Biden are already at 47% and rising. 56% of the GOP is over the age of 50. The IFR at 50 is about 1%, increasing to over 2% by age 60, well over 3% at 70...
I agree you have the right to choose, but conservatives refusing a vaccine as an exercise of their liberty is going to bite the GOP in the a$$. You're looking at .5% of that party dying over the next few years, and while it may not be the young healthy ones who die, they likely will be the ones bringing it home to dad and grandma... .
I don't want to have a democratic house, senate, and president for the next 20 years, so while I agree with you philosophically, I'll admit I'm still annoyed that your choice seems to be an exercise of political freedom rather than of mental capacity, and it's going to make my taxes go up.

Your taxes will go up because of dem rule in WH Seanate and house. You will pay more for everything because of increasing minimum wages and regulations.

I choose NOT to take the jab, just like you chose to get jabbed.
Our body our choice.
The 'non-jabbers' believe the virus is real. Because it is. And it has killed many, to your point.
It goes beyond liberal versus conservative, jab versus non-jab, etc..
The cerveza is being used as a tool by the criminal oligarchs to gain more power and control. And this is the platform of the 'non-jabbers' crew.
Those who took the jab who root for the rona to kill more people just so they can say "I told you so" are sick mudda fukkers.
Likewise,
Those non-jabbers who root for the vaccine to kill the jabbers from side effects just so they can say "I told you so" are also sick mudda fukkers.
The jab - courtesy of the rona - has further divided Humanity, much like race and genders were used to divide us.
