Just a FYI, dose 2 of Pfizer was exactly the same symptoms for me and my best friend who just so happened to get it the same day.
Nothing the first 8 hours then just tired and 50% energy loss( sleepy) with a slight headache(12 hours). I never had any deltoid pain, just a feeling that I worked shoulders that week.
Compared to one of my high volume workouts this was nothing but tiring.

Nah, something about sticking your butt out (more/less? can't remember). I've always liked to use legs and been told in the past I'm squatting it a lot more than I should, just feels better to me.

I have a question, if I get fully vaccinated I still want to wear a mask because well, it just feels more patriotic.
The question is, can I have the mask below my nose?
This. I was one of those people. My wife, who's a nurse, actually pointed out these side effects of a very common antibiotic that most people take with no hesitation:
Increase the risk of tendinitis, tendon rupture, and peripheral neuropathy in people of all ages, which can lead to serious side effects, such as:
nerve pain and a sensation of pins and needles
chronic pain
burning, numbness, or weakness in the joints and muscles
swelling and pain in the joints and tendons
tendon rupture
changes in the nerves of the hands, arms, feet, and legs
These symptoms may come on after just one or two doses and may last for years. It is unknown yet whether some of the symptoms and changes, especially nerve changes, are permanent.
May cause side effects to the central nervous system (CNS), such as:
nervousness
agitation
insomnia
anxiety
nightmares
paranoia
dizziness
confusion
tremors
hallucinations
depression
suicidal thoughts
I fully understand why some people are hesitant to get the Covid vaccination. Like I said, I was one of them. But I've taken conventional medications over the years without really looking into (naively, I admit) some real side effects they may cause. I have a co-worker whose 20 year old daughter had a severe reaction to Tylenol (intestinal bleeding that required hospitalization) a few years ago. All medications come with side effects and unfortunately some people may react to it with dire consequences.... even Tylenol.
Fluoroquinolones, started hearing about it with Cipro, Ofloxacin was maybe a bigger risk. Prescribed them for years, never saw a bad side effect.
It's important to be aware of the risks, but to also understand the relative risks. You also need to consider who is at risk. So old desk jockeys like me who work out once a day are at higher risk than young athletes or people who are up and about all day.
New medical products are scary, and everyone gets nervous about them if there's any semblance that they may not have been tested well, but with the COVID vaccines, especially the MRA ones, it's almost impossible to say the vaccine risk is greater than the virus risk. That's true even in healthy kids, and bad outcomes like MIS-C are very rare. But bad outcomes from the vaccine are rarer than the bad outcomes you see using the entire population as the denominator for COVID outcomes and the vaccinated population for vaccine risks.
The below cut/paste is from the CDC website, and realistically, it can't be correct. Odds are a vaccine did contributed to some of the deaths even if we can't prove it. We also know the traditional vaccines caused some serious adverse events besides anaphylaxis. Despite that being scary, the numbers are tiny and nobody I know who has seen the actual data has considered refusing any of the vaccines they've been offered.
From the CDC's event reporting. Take it with a grain of salt:
Over 245 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States from December 14, 2020, through May 03, 2021. During this time, VAERS received 4,178 reports of death (0.0017%) among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine. CDC and FDA physicians review each case report of death as soon as notified and CDC requests medical records to further assess reports. A review of available clinical information including death certificates, autopsy, and medical records revealed no evidence that vaccination contributed to patient deaths. CDC and FDA will continue to investigate reports of adverse events, including deaths, reported to VAERS.
PS) It wasn't Tylenol that caused your friend's daughter to have a GI bleed. Might have been an NSAID though.
What's the point of wearing a mask if you are not covering your noise?
That's actually a good question, but realistically, ignoring what the CDC and people who have to stick to the guidance tell you, wearing it over your mouth will definitely help decrease the spread a lot more than not wearing one at all.
It may not protect you, but since most droplets are coming out of your mouth when you enunciate percussive letters like P, or when you cough or sneeze, the mouth only mask is doing something. Wish I could give you a % protection number, but it's dinner time and I'm too lazy to google it right now. I'll bet somebody looked into it though.
