I have no knowledge if Faucci did say that, the context he did if so, or why.... nor do I care to gain any knowledge on that and I fail to see how it's relevant to clinical trial design.
I am just so lost as to how you have these thoughts when I have seen some really smart people here break this down to you. Are you under the impression that this 3-5 year figure you are seeing somewhere is actual trial length? When you look at the clinical trials for these vaccines we vaccinate or placebo a patient and send them into the world to collect data on Covid cases. Why exactly is more time needed when statistically significant data points were achieved?
Right, and that is what I am saying. Reward us who didn't procrastinate, we are the real heros.
There is no such thing as an asymptomatic Pandemic, the masks & lockdowns were proven to be a joke, & this vaccine is just a precursor of what they have in store for us.
I've been vaccinated and here's what drove my decision to do so:
1. From a purely anecdotal standpoint (i.e. I'm not going to argue over the global severity of Covid), I saw family and friends become extremely ill. And, natural antibodies didn't last long; my brother caught it twice in six months (two positive tests) and was hospitalized once. He is a healthy 35 year old and I wasn't going to roll those dice.
2. I did my research on the vaccine and found out that it wasn't something that was slapped together in the space of months. It is based off of an existing vaccine for the SARS virus (Covid is a variant of SARs) and that SARs vaccine reportedly took over a decade to develop. The biochemistry behind the development of this Covid vaccine simply piggy-backed off of the SARs vaccine.
I can respect and agree with all of this. I hope everything works out well for you as time goes by, given that you have had the shots. (I'm sorry, I just can't call it a 'vaccine' as that term has been used medically in the past. One thing about medical terminology: it is precise. It has to be.)
I'm also sorry to folks who have lost friends and loved ones to COVID. I put my anecdotal/personal losses in my post in an effort to avoid responses that missed my points and, instead, gave emotional loss responses. I'm 56 now. I'm losing people I have known and loved all my life with increasing frequency now. It's sad, but it is besides the points I tried to make.
I'm not even 'against' the initial lockdowns. We didn't fully know what we were facing; in certain ways, we still don't. Given the science we did obtain about this Chinese lab created virus, I was supportive of tiered ending to lockdowns 6 months into them. BUT, and yes, I'll be political now, politicians and the media, knowing that you don't ever waste a crisis, turned lockdowns into a political power game and means to hold viewers. We had a President begging governors to open their states. He was called cold, evil, uncaring, and stupid for his efforts. Of course his media and political enemies took the others side and ramped up the fear over information campaign.
Additionally, I have been called racist and stupid for saying this was a Chinese lab created virus. I too spoke with Infectious Disease experts over the course of the past year and a half. These guys knew this was not a natural phenomena a few months into the lockdowns. It just doesn't behave like a natural virus, and all of us should know that powerful governments have major programs designed to develop changes in known viruses with the possible goal of someday using them, if need be. So, I'll stand by my positions. I'm confident about them, but I do enjoy reading posts hear from a few of you who clearly know more on the subject than I do. Even when we disagree.

I already explained the reason for the crossover but since it was a while ago, I'll remind you. It provided more safety data on the IP. Also, the placebo group could only received IP after the data had proven the vaccine worked. On top of that, it was only if they, the subjects wanted to cross over.
If the vaccine hadn't shown efficacy or had any concerning safety signals, none of them would have crossed over. Sites get informed about any SUSARs, so there weren't any secrets kept from the people who enrolled. The ones who were offered the chance to get the vaccine after they were unblinded and learned they had received placebo had more information than the initial active arm. Very standard stuff there Paul.

Your strongest post so far was your Dundalk Barbie comment, I was actually proud of you on that one.........
I dated a Daundalk Barbie before and she was a cool person, I asked where she was from and she said “Dundalk aka Dumdaulk” and laughed, she actually lifted some of my heavy barbells, she had her own power wash business, she was more classy than Essex Sally.......,,..

Yo Ben, post up the Devil went to Dundalk parady, if you don’t I will later.......
Devil went to Dundalk looking for soul to steal........

There’s a reason why medical trials last so long, and I could go on for quite a while as to why trials are designed the way they are. And I do hope
This vaccine works for everyone but please read the body’s response to HIV below.

Also please read the below link

Hence, it takes quite a while to know how a vaccine will affect individuals and the outcome is currently unknown

Hence, it takes quite a while to know how a vaccine will affect individuals and the outcome is currently unknown
In YOUR link you posted it says the development of vaccine phases says thousands and tens of thousands test subjects before going to the masses
In the case of covid, hundreds of millions have been tested.
Is that big enough a sample size for you to determine adverse LONG TERM effects? Atleast some out of the hundreds of millions would experience the “long term” effects rather early.
I think we’re all gonna make it.

I want to read more of the link above but mRNA has been studied for decades...it’s not something they came up with to battle just covid. I am not 100% confident either (I’ve gotten Pfizer both shots) due to all this BS flying around the internet but I’d say I am 95% plus comfortable with it

Just wait until Bill Gates activates your nano bots and controls you like remote control car. Then you’ll be singing a different tune; Literally- It makes people sing Microsoft songs.

I heard that was the hardest bit. They had the virus ready for several years, but it couldn't be released until the nano vaccine was finished.
(Steve Jobs was changing his mind about it and wanted to use Apple nano chips, that's why Bill Gates had to get rid of him and make it look natural causes).
Anyway, the first releases of the vaccine, people kept making the Windows® noises when they woke up or fell asleep. They managed to get a hotfix for it late summer 2019, only just in time for the October release date!!
