One of my favorite recent posts.
I didn't realize the vaccines were marketed as curing stupidity, but if they were, they clearly aren't doing that and I was wrong. A 90% reduction would have been great, although not sure how our government would function without its primary source of energy.
MGFTP,
I gave air pods or tags or whatever they're called to my wife and kids, but I don't have any because they don't work with my Pixel phone. Such is life.
I keep hearing you guys mention 10 weeks, but I honestly haven't been paying attention to any media outlets. I'll search for whatever you're talking about when I get a chance, but I'm sure you don't need any more booster shots for a while. Much longer than 10 weeks!
Disclaimer: I do have Apple stock, but no Pfizer or Moderna stock.
Edit: That was easy to find. The 10 weeks. Ignore all of it. It's silly. Unless Omicron becomes much more dangerous than it currently is, trying to prevent symptoms for it long term with recurring shots of a vaccine to the wild type strain would be an unbelievably stupid idea.
The media is getting silly if that's how they're spinning that data. We were lucky we could find any statistical difference in symptoms. Let's see if there's any real benefit when we have data on hospitalizations and mortality. Hopefully that will take a while because less people will actually get very sick from Omicron and we won't have big numbers in any of the populations/cohorts we tract.
"You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to JustTheDad again."
What troubled me is the anti-vax crowd (sorry, anti-covid-vax crowd) was saying those who never got vaccinated ended up better off after those 10 weeks. I don't really see how that would be possibke scientifically and figured it's a spin on numbers or something. Then again, I'm just an average Joe, perhaps I don't have a good enough understanding of how antibodies work.

Do you wash them as often as you wash your hands? I don't think so. :)
. i think youre the one thats upset about your worthless jabs
Can we quit with this nonsense already? If you're still disputing that the outcomes for those vaxxed compared to those not are the same you're ignorant. Yes, we get it - the vax doesn't offer you complete protection against getting sick but it looks like it does a pretty good job of keeping it mild (for most) enough you don't need medical attention. Get the shot, don't, IDGAF but putting your head in the sand so you can justify your position? Come on man...
But the gov't shouldn't mandate this. Natural selection is the way to go here and businesses should be able to decide their own policy.

I'd say I wash my hands slightly more often. However, I am not sure how you are living your life and I don't judge but my hands are more exposed to the environment than my penis and balls.

Everyone is also more exposed to your hands. :)

Anti-covid-vax would like to point out there is the possibility a seat belt can kill you, therefore benefits are negated.

But the buckle part is still really good for breaking the window to get out after you drive off a pier.
I saw that in a movie once.

There’s a term for it, can’t remember what it’s called, where a vaccine can cause someone to become more susceptible to infection by similar or intended pathogen. I doubt that is/will be the case here, but it could probably be shown statistically because the higher percentage of vaccinated people will result in a greater number of vaccinated people dying from/with covid. It would be sneaky stats and comparing apples/oranges. Our numbers are raging though, including hospitalized, vaccine is not very effective at all right now by the shear volume of cases / increase in percent positive and hospitalized.

I believe you're thinking of Anti-body Dependent Enhancement (ADE).

Ron Jeremy would say you are wasting your time looking like you do if your washing your hands more than your junk, in fact he his laughing at you because he needs to wash is junk more and he's a fat slob who gets laid wearing the shirt with a meatball stain.
I'm just joking, I couldn't resist due to the conversation, however I'm not joking about big Ronnie and I don't mean the bodybuilder:D:D:D

I just got the booster last night as my family insists on it or they'll throw me out. Plus I can't go to restaurants or bars or be in my adventure club in California. It sucks. My arm is really sore and I'm super tired, but I'm not sick with a fever and chills like I was with the second shot.
I told my family wtf are we going to need a new shot every 3 months, that I really hate these shots and we got in a big argument and they told me to stop talking. :(

I was and for the most part am an anti-vaxxer. My mother, whom I hadn't seen in 20 months and is a former medical professional demanded that I take it if I was going to see her in Florida. I did the JnJ 1 shot, just going through the motions, no side effects nothing. I told her, "that's it, no more, I took one for the team."
Went in November again for a week no issues. All of a sudden, I'm getting messages from my siblings saying I need to get a booster if I'm coming down in March. WTF? The hypochondriacs have been shot 3-4 times. They're COMPLETELY protected.
It should be a person's choice. And no one's business.

It sounds like they shouldn't be allowed to live in Florida lol. If you feel that they are protected by the vaccine I got some bad news.. You need to get vaccinated to protect the vaccinated people because their vaccines don't protect them from contracting or spreading covid...Its Science, just comply.

I mean they aren't completely protected just because they are vaccinated.
Everyone should have a choice and in this case they do. You have a choice to get vaxxed or boosted or whatever, and they have a choice not to see you.
With you on that and craziness on both sides. It is not a vaccine and just a flu shot. I know many people that have all 3 shots and what do you know they get covid. Yes they will say way better symptoms if they did not have one but I really think it depends on the person.
Personal choice and I was in same situation with some close friends that were uncomfortable so basically told them I respect there decision but they also need to respect mine. If they could not get over it all good as everyone needs to live there life and make their own decisions that are best for them.
