I'm not far enough out from my last shot to get one, but I don't see much downside to it. 3 of the 4 people in my house have had a booster shot since my parents are visiting and my wife got one. If your job requires you get exposed or if you just want the peace of mind, it seems reasonable to me. I'm fairly well protected I think given everyone here had one. I'll probably get one soon unless a delta specific shot comes out.

As of Oct. 1 green card applicants are required to get vaccinated.

This does not answer my question. Tens of thousands of illegals crossed the border and have been planted all over the US without being vaccinated and nothing has changed.
The October 1 green card applicants has nothing to do with immigrants crossing the Southern Border, because it is not being implemented. Nothing is implemented.

In order for them to apply for immigrant or refugee status they have to get vaccinated. There is a process to that happening. Are we supposed to require all ten vaccinations be administered to anyone that crosses the border?

I got JJ back in March, did an antibody test last month or so and it showed no antibodies. Although antibody test is not an indicator of vaccine efficacy, my doc and my step dad who is a doctor said that I “should have some antibodies”. I had to go back to work, where I interface with like 100 ppl weekly. So I got two Moderna shots not to take any chances.
In DC area you just sign up and get it in local CVS, no questions asked.
As for the immigrants - I doubt that they will get to the position of educators, doctors or nurses or work in a company with over 100 people any time soon), that’s where vaccines are mandated). I don’t have any first hand experience in crossing the boarder, but when I came here legally at the age of 13 from Russia, we were mandated to get whole bunch of vaccines to get documents.

The only vaccination I am referring to is COVID. From past recent past performance of DHS, I just do not trust that COVID vaccinations will be much of a priority for border crossers. The hypocrisy of our government is shocking.

Yes, it is pretty clear, but it is directed to immigrants who are immigrating legally and who go through the legal immigration process, like Ms. Deva.
It is not being applied by or for the tens of thousands of immigrants who have crossed our Southern Border over the past months and who conveniently never will show up to court much less even apply for green cards. To assume that they will or have any intention to, is just denial.

Everything I wrote in my post I believe is true and why I wrote it. The majority of the MSM does not report on the border crisis because it doesn't fit their narrative. This is true, as well. And, why most people think the border is just fine and dandy.

Biden’s already extending Trump’s use of title 42 to turn away migrants applying for asylum at the border, vaccinated or not.
The problem is with migrants that are inside the country, who can’t be turned away without a court hearing.

Thanks for the post, Ben. I have no clue on how many were sent back, but I am skeptical it was or is significant. I have read that at least 300,000 "got-aways" went through undetected or not stopped as a result of the overwhelmed border.
