What is considered unvaccinated? I was asked at the orthopedist if I was fully vaccinated. I had the JnJ 9 months ago and am not getting boosted. I know JnJ was considered effective for 6 months, so I guess I'm not. Serious, what is the true definition. Am I going to now be a dirty outcast?

There are different levels of vaccination status for SJW points. Basically the more boosters you get the higher status you will receive. The CDC changed the definition of what a vaccine is for these, since they don’t make you immune or anything, but as of now you are still fully vaccinated after 2 weeks post J&J.

Assuming there won't be any long term effects of actually getting the virus, even asymptomatically, is also something. The reality is, declining the vaccine doesn't mean you didn't accept risks beyond the tiny risk of a severe acute illness. I made my decision knowing exactly what was in the vaccine, how it works, and quite a bit about immunology and virology. Did you?
I don't see a big risk either way, but you obviously chose to accept more of the late developing conditions than people who got the mRNA vaccines. I hope it works out for you long term and that you never have any significant ones.

Funny statement, and hopefully you know it's wrong. For what we're discussing, even Linus Pauling would go with the vaccine. You can check the Pauling institute website. They're bigger proponents of vitamins than even you, but they're also quite educated and like Pauling, they watch the data.
That doesn't mean C, D, or zinc are bad. It just means you're selectively ignoring evidence for personal reasons and either you aren't willing or aren't able to objectively evaluate the evidence.

You're right, we're both probably guilty, but you know, after 2 years of all of us having to put up with how badly our government fubar'd this, I am never offended when someone has a strong opinion about this stuff or expresses it caustically, regardless of what their opinion is based on. I also do try not to be condescending, although clearly I'm just another stupid human and screw that up frequently.
There was that one guy a long while ago who was a bit "off" maybe. He posted so many links that actually disproved rather than supported what he was saying that I was honestly never sure if he was serious. Fishnbrah on the other hand is good by me. He not being dishonest or malicious in any way. He's just confident in his opinions and without people who have other opinions we'd all coast down a rabbit hole and complacently accept wrong answers. I had lunch with a friend yesterday who is a musician. One of the best I know. He made a comment that he always feels like he's playing catch up on knowledge and basically doesn't feel very smart at times. He's a bright guy and as we were talking I thought of this thread and realized why I try not to be condescending and why none of us should feel that way.
If the sum total of information in the universe is say, infinity minus 1, and the total of human knowledge is a googolplex of data points of a certain size, then what's the big deal if one of us knows a few thousand more data points than another human being? In the greater scheme of the universe, does it matter if our intellectual power is a few orders of magnitude greater than a goldfish? It's still trivial and insignificant. So if we aren't much greater than a pet fish, we can't be significantly greater another human being.
Not saying we shouldn't be proud of our accomplishments or stop trying to grow, but thinking about it that way, being condescending doesn't feel right. We can't even comprehend how tiny we are in the greater scheme of things because it's too scary to imagine and acting superior to someone else won't change that. I figure it will just look foolish to anyone whose understanding compared to ours, is similar or greater than what ours is compared a goldfish.
Also, it's possible those goldfish are secretly controlling us or know more than we think, or maybe it's the mice! Hmmph, I've gotta go find my aluminum foil hat now.

Madison Wi is an island of retards and is the only city in the state with a mask mandate and it has nothing to do with being vaxxed or not. I have avoided the city for months but today decided to venture forth and see if the mask clowns would win. 4 stores and a restaurant all with "masks required" on the doors, all 4 I entered, walked around and shopped and nobody said a damn word. $hits looking up folks.

I won't judge anyone for wearing a mask in any setting including a vehicle by themselves.
Wearing a mask in a vehicle is definitely not for me, however, some may find it necessary, for example if they are just going from one store to another and they don't want to contaminate the mask by removing and putting it back on. Early in the pandemic it was said to avoid touching the mask as much as possible..
Perhaps they forgot it on, I came out of a corner store and walked a quarter mile before I realized I had the damn thing on, I probably looked like a fool going down the sidewalk. Not that I give 2 fuks..
Perhaps that person is scared sh!tless, the pandemic has caused many people mental anguish and instilled fear in some. I would be some special kind of low person to judge someone that is undergoing some mental stress or health issue. I prefer not to be that type of person.

During the early pandemic when we did haven't much data yet I did this as part of my biohazard protocols. For some infectious agents very careful unmasking procedures need to be followed if you're going to avoid infecting yourself by touching the mask while taking it off. Later on, it turned out this wasn't a significant source of risk so I stopped doing it. Anyone doing it now hasn't been paying attention.

Agreed, this is total biosafety theatre. If it's dangerous enough to need a mask to go to your table, it's too dangerous to be eating in a restaurant at all.
Under current conditions I think mask mandates are inappropriate as the risk/reward tradeoff just isn't there.
I had never considered it. TBH, after listening to the JRE episode with Dr. Malone. That just pushed me further away from every considering it.

Amusingly this whole dustup over COVID shots has actually gotten me to better understand my influenza shots and take them more seriously. Hurrah for science and education!
If you want to talk about pharma driving policy though, look at vaccination schedules for pets & livestock, they've gotten totally out of control. I used to be your dog got some shots when they were young, maybe some new ones if you moved to a different state, and possibly a Rabies booster if they lived a long time. Nowadays they're pushing yearly or even more often shots for all kinds of things with very little science to back it up. For our horses it's even worse, to the point where I actually think it's unhealthy.
"Pushing" is suggesting.
