At least Body Nutrition has a QC department...
Trutein still my #1, srs. Love the flavors. Tub of Shamrock Shake on the way since it was on sale. Don't have shakes as much anymore, maybe 3x per week so a tub lasts me much longer.
Ever since getting a dehydrator I get a lot of protein through homemade jerky. Meat prices of peace right now.

I need to give this a shot, love me some jerky
Holy hell, the vaccine knocked me on my a*s. If you get it, start pounding water and ibuprofen ASAP. It wrecked all my co-workers who got it too. Two days later, my joints are still sore as hell.
I need to give this a shot, love me some jerky
Bought the 9 tray Excalibur, really overkill, I never used more than 5 trays for up to 3.5 lbs of meat. Also makes great dehydrated fruit too, and dried zucchini chips with some garlic salt are great.

Which vaccines are you guys getting? Moderna and Pfizer?
Which vaccines are you guys getting? Moderna and Pfizer?
Moderna offered at work but not bothering since I had covid and it did fck all to me, days sinus congestion, 2 days loss of smell and a slight cough that still hasn't gone away (sick in December), and I've seen more coworkers get fcked up from the vaccine than covid.
I had Trutein Pumpkin Pie flavor years ago and it was fantastic!:p
I haven't had a whole lot of pumpkin flavored proteins, but Trutein's remains my favorite still because it captured a Dairy Queen Pumpkin Pie Blizzard flavor. There's only so many to try since every other brand rotates their pumpkins out so fast (if they even do one), but the last one I had that wasn't Trutein was Nutrabio's maybe a year or two back. Fortunately they offered a 1 lb tub because I wound up throwing it out; tasted nasty.
What's surprised me about the Cinnabun flavor is how distinctive the cream cheese frosting flavor is despite a total lack of actual "cream cheese powder" like in the Red Velvet Cake, so the macros don't take any hit while still maintaining a superb taste.
Core Nutritional is the only other company off the top of my head who has a Red Velvet Cake flavor - at least as standard since Black Magic Supply did their Devil Cake flavor for Halloween. I haven't tried the former, but what I liked about the latter was that it both stood out from a traditional chocolate flavor yet was good enough that I could have it any time and not feel like it was too niche.
Part of why I bring up Core's protein is that when deciding, they were the only ones who also had a cinnamon roll type flavor that lined up with what I was looking for, but I couldn't find too much on it since they recently redid their lineup.

I gave up trying to find brands that weren't blasted with soy since I can't stand the taste, seasoned with sugar (it's not a candy bar), or disappointingly fatty cuts because fat + dehydration = chew toy.
After figuring that if you want something done right, do it yourself, I looked up online and discovered my trusty Breville toaster oven has a dehydrator function and can make jerky, so I haven't gone back since.

It's surprisingly easy to make and absolutely worth it for the much better quality/taste and huge savings.

Takes 5 minutes to cut the meat, I buy thin cut then just cut it into strips, toss it in a bag to marinade overnight then toss it on the dehydrator for 3-5 hours depending on how IO want it done. 3 pounds of meat gets me a bit over 1 pound of jerky and that lasts me around 3-5 days.
Excalibur dehydrator is great, fan means air circulates o no need to rotate what's in there.
Which vaccines are you guys getting? Moderna and Pfizer?
So my department offered a clinic for the administration of the Moderna one and then the Johnson & Johnson one. I wanted Moderna but couldn’t make the available times, so I got the J&J one. Glad I went through the department too cause they give you an administrative day if you have an adverse reaction.

I have some on the way too. 40% off was too good to pass up.

I had a few co-workers with similar symptoms plus fevers. I didn't get the joint pain, but I was tired for days. We got Pfizer

I was up late one night watching an infomercial on a dehydrator :) The fruit is also interesting

You guys talked me into it.
Anyone use the updated glycofuse? They dropped the cyclic dextrin to 15gms and added carb10. I bought a tub to add to my intra.

I hate to it admit it, but Shamrock Shake Trutein is ****ing delicious.

Yep, ditto. Got my tub the other day and, man, it's damn good. I put a little redi whip on top just for that authentic shake feel. 11/10

I never had this flavor but I'm assuming it's a mint type flavor?

Yep, a minty vanilla.

Wish I would have gotten another tub or two.
This is my first Trutein following my decade-long O-ring boycott. Pour one out for the Goodbros.
I still buy the lemon meringue pie Trutein from time to time.
Only decent lemon protein flavor left.
I really miss XF lemon
Had some wicked cutz bbq mesquite beef jerky, it was slamming.
My wife wants to start taking high DPA/EPA fish oil but she has trouble swallowing large pills. Or even medium sized pills. Any suggestions?

Try a liquid version. I can’t recommend any as I’m not in the US but it’d definitely be an option if she can’t handle capsules

liquid goes rancid very quickly, nordic naturals has mini softgels and I'm sure there's others

Krill gels are pretty small, give them a look
Thanks guys! Think I found some mini pills that would work for her. Liquid has a better DHA/EPA cost/ratio but I’m worried about expiration.
Bought two of the Lenny and Larry BOSS cookies (regular chocolate chip and peanut butter). Both sucked. So did the new Golden Grahams protein bar from General Mills.

Been drinking these for the last few months. Convenient, taste good and gets the job done.
