Where did u see his pulls? Haven't seen anything in IG yet.
He definitely did better than I thought he would, I did not think that recent 540 TnG bench PR would translate well to a comp bench.
Edit, found his pulls. Wow. Knees didn't look soft or anything and his grip seemed fine. That's awesome.

Right, there's something along those lines that I feel like I had heard hadn't been done before.
Maybe I was thinking of 1000 squat 600 bench, which as far as I know has only been done by JP price, in the same meet that is.

Tenth highest total of all time raw w/wraps (with Rays raw raw total being 5kg above, included)
Gives perspective on how great of a day Thor had, and especially on how insane Ray's 1105 total is. That is just otherworldly for no wraps, IPF conditions lifting.

Looks like Robert Wilkerson did 100 squat and 600 bench in 2011. I don't know if you remember that squat or not lol.

Hit some small PRs this weekend. Benched 391 and pulled 705.
Only got my squat opener at 573. Couldn't walk out my second. By the time I was stable, I was pretty tired. Missed 617 on the second. Passed on the third. Totaled 1670 at 229 going 7/8. Not exactly what I wanted, but qualified for IPL drug tested worlds in Ireland next year. Plan is to compete there and then take a week vacation after.

Great stuff, Hope I get there one day as well.
My 1st meet was yesterday 152.5, 97.5, 145 (336, 215, 320) 90.5kg BW (failed 102.5 bench on butt lift, couldn't move 2nd dead at 150, which was weird and still haven't fully worked out).
Gf also had a real good 1st meet with 8/9, 55, 37.5, 70. Only just failing third bench 40kg not quite there yet. 60kg bw

I know I'm late to the party but I was very impressed with Thor's performance. I figured he'd squat high as chit and ramp a deadlift. I know there's no money in it compared to strongman but I hope he keeps doing some meets. Especially bigger meets like big dogs or something.

Anybody have any good reading/videos on blending strongman and powerlifting training? I've been checking out a lot of Brian alsure stuff, and as always reading and watching Josh Bryant.
