Martin, finally figured out the insta video! Wet the chest plate. Also impressed you could press that without touching boards. To me its a **** ton harder to press without touching boards like that.

Thanks, will wet chest plate next time. I don't plan on benching to boards, just going to keep trying to touch without my head coming off the bench.

The sadist in me loved the super compression at the bottom.
Love it in bench.
Hate it for squats.

Why the board hate?

Why the board hate?[/QUOTE]
Mostly because I've decided to do my equipped benching on Saturday nights and usually only my gf and I are there and she has to spot me. So no board holders. Also I don't really see much benefit in board pressing for me right now. Need to learn how to touch weight first.

Ah. Fair enough.
I use a bench blockz. But I also bench in a cage Don't have time yet to train with others ATM and I wouldn't wanna push for a heavy ass 3rd rep without good spotters. So I get that.
Jezza 881 walked out front squat.
What's everyone's thoughts on the hip circle? Just got one to hopefully help this glute pain I've had for like 10 years. I've never really worked on the outward motion.

I don't see where it will help glute pain. But it will allow you to chit normal.

I have one and hate it.
Do Isaku counts everysingle post manually (of course not.. right?) or is there an automated count as a mod?

I can't press off of air. I think that is what Judge is trying to say. The people who just take the weight down as low as they can and press it back up somehow can, but if I don't come in contact with my chest or a board I am toast

there's an auto count; but I don't think its mod only. you click on the # of replies from the mainpage and it brings up a popup with post counts.
fwiw, when I was in gear, training w/o boards and pressing off air was a great way to learn a new shirt and felt like it gave me more control and feel over the groove of the shirt. Made me more consistent.
Boards were still good for developing lockout strength and doing overload work, but as I got better in gear I felt like boards became too much of a crutch. Also, most lifters I saw would dump the bar to the board at least a bit, which doesn't help you when you don't have a board there.

That's weird, I can't imagine benching to air feeling too different than benching to boards in a shirt. Although I've never benched to boards in a shirt.

Good to know.
Pressing off boards is way different, I agree.
Also why the fuk have I not done Dough Hepburn style training before, seems like an almost ideal style of training for an off season type phase.

So I am doing my last geared session this Friday before my meet in a couple of weeks.
I figured working up to my 2nd without boards then hitting my 2nd to 2" for reps would give me an indication on pulling back or what not.
Is that not a good implementation of boards?
