Your setup has been on my mind the entire time, even before I picked up the rack. LOL
I would personally keep it Urban.
I'm plotting to keep it, my wife thinks I'm refurbishing it to sell. But after I sell a few items and pass her $500 in cash, I'll tell her it's going downstairs instead and that she can keep the dough ;)
list it at a crazy high (you leave me no choice but to sell it) price and see if a taker comes up while you're debating
this is the smart answer, but...
it's going downstairs
is the RIGHT answer.
that pendlay half rack you have is serious, but having 2 commercial racks in your basement is truly hardcore. and that's what really matters: how badass you feel.
New Rogue oly training bar in Boston, $200
You know as soon as you refurb, and set it up, an awesome functional trainer will pop up (and you will be moving this thing out)
Literally LOL'd when I saw this today, it appears to only be a single stack but $300 sounds reasonable.
Never used these much though, even when I went to the gym.

I'm good, someone else can have it. It would tuck into a corner nicely but I would definitely have to get rid of the Powertec, and that's not happening. WAAYYY to versatile and since I dumped a couple leg machines recently belt squats will be key to safely overloading on leg day.

Your belt squat setup is the only reason why I even look at the Powertec units when they pop up. Haven't seen a reasonably priced one yet, and have no idea where I'd fit it even if it was free, but I'd find a way.

Definitely worth it, I use mine ALOT on a regular basis! Standing military press, shrugs, low row, bent over rows, lying tricep extensions, standing cable curls, incline press, standing calf raises, narrow squats, and then belt squats. For the space it takes up it's 100% worth it, there is one on ******** Marketplace identical to mine (color too) in Kentucky for $450 with VTX plates. Pretty solid deal for someone once you dump all the plates.
If anyone is interested in a brand new kabuki strength v3 black oxide bar I have one shipped for $185 shipped compared to $230 on their site. Never used still in original box.

It's still going strong, aside from reinforcing the box with wood glue and some L brackets in the corners as a precaution. I dumped the crappy bench and use my CAP+ with it now, just created a lift for the rear supports for when I want to do incline work. The new low pulley is also fantastic for standing cable curls and lying tricep extensions.

Thanks to this forum, I keep finding newer ways to get more function out of the Powertec lever gym. That additional low pulley does open up some possibilities, will add it to my to-do list.
BTW, is that pink paint or is my monitor's color off? :D

The red looks kinda strange on my monitor as well, but it's definitely NOT pink. If you end up doing the same definitely try lying tricep extensions. Once you get the setup right it's pretty awesome, much better than lying barbell work because you keep all of the tension towards the top of the movement.
Anyone in the Baltimore MD area want a good deal $200 on some powerblocks elite 5-90lb with the stand and the adder weights? I don't have a use for these but someone on here probably does, looks like a sweet deal:

Had one of these Magnum racks before, one of the best racks I have ever owned. $699 seems like a pretty solid deal for local pickup, 'comparable' condition to pictures so I would probably want to see what I'm buying first.
'Make an Offer' is active on that one....

That is straight sexiness IGP, Magnum makes some awesome equipment! I really liked the spotter steps and the straight stainless pullup bar on the older version, and the oversized j-hooks were my all-time favorite (outside of mono's). I think that's why I fell in love with the Pro-Elite so quickly, it reminds me how much I enjoyed having the Magnum at my old house.

buy this one too, bitch! you need 3 racks in your basement. plus your wife will probably leave you so you'll have plenty of room upstairs too...
Hey guys. York plates, barbell, and other stuff in my area for $150. Heres a pic: https://imgur.com/gallery/lw7ORZc
Supposedly all york equipment (besides the odd looking squat stand). 265 lb of plates, barbell, & all the other stuff included. Guy says in the ad theres a good deal of rust on everything so I’d have to put in probably a good few hours cleaning it all off.
Honestly I’d be looking to flip. Could I make some decent cash off of this stuff to make it worth driving a total of 2 hrs to get it (there & back)?

Hey just wondering how much you think one of those york plates & the barbell is worth?

That eBay auction was in Missouri, my marriage is safe for now!
Hey just wondering how much you think one of those york plates & the barbell is worth?
looks pretty rusty, to me. they can be easy or difficult to disassemble, depending on the level of rust and if the pins are stuck or whatever. FWIW i was able to disassemble mine and clean it and i am a moron with handiwork, but YMMV.
The price depends on how badly you want a York split sleeve barbell. i really like being able to say i have one. I use mine for deadlifts and rows and really enjoy it, but some people might not care about the nostalgia of old iron, or don't want to bother cleaning, etc...if you can get the bar between $60-100 you're doing well, if the bar is in decent shape.
for the weight, don't go overboard, they can be found fairly commonly. they're good plates though...what's the asking price

I did two sessions yesterday, leg in the morning and chest in the evening just to test out the dual setup.
It was glorious, need to buy more weights, but glorious....
I still have my old rack, but space is really cramped lately since my FIL is back in town and I moved my desk downstairs.
Lately I've barely been lifting anyway, what with no days off and all

Speaking of weights; how are your Rep grip plates holding up? Still recommend them?
Speaking of weights; how are your Rep grip plates holding up? Still recommend them?
No issues so far, they are holding up really well and the only paint wear I see is around the center hub. I plan on adding more in the future, with the second rack I could use at least one more 275lb set. However, the only downside I have noticed with these plates is that they roll around alot during deadlifts. Must just be the design of the rounded lip because I remember someone (SK maybe) say something similar about Revolvers doing the same.

My Pendlay rack would be sweating like Shaq at the foul line if that became a reality....bwhaha
(everyone still on spread)
I am thinking about the rep grip plates as well. I was comparing them to rep rubber coated grip plates which are actually less expensive. Would you recommend the iron over the rubber coated for a long lasting product that still looks new?

Whether it's iron, rubber, or urethane coated it makes no difference. IF they still 'look new' after prolonged use you are not doing it right, ipso facto you might say iron has the advantage there because paint is relatively easy to fix (and they are generally cheaper). Also, I prefer the 'clank' sound that results from metal-metal contact so I traded up my urethane plates for iron a long while back. Nothing against coatings though, they can be nice if you workout late at night and have children.

the flippable safeties are so simple and straightforward you wonder why they didn't come with them initially. to be fair, i think i could have done just fine with the OG safeties (i still have them) but being able to fine tune is very nice.

Gas, time, and the chance that a random seller on CL might renege on the deal when I get there are all things that I consider before I drive more than an hour or two for something. The math rarely works out.
