Anyone have experience with Maxicam equipment? Can't find a lot about it. Looking for a heavy duty 45 degree hyper to do heavy barbell back extensions on and wondering how this would compare to Icarian, Body Masters, or other similar makes.
I have had a ton of maxicam in and out of my warehouse over the years. Can't comment about this specific piece but I have liked the majority of their equipment in the past. All well built.

Thanks, that matches up with what limited info I could find on them.

Nice piece. I've never been disappointed in any Nautilus NT series equipment that has come my way and I have owned plenty. Fit and finish is very nice.

That's a nice buy! I've seen a few Nautilus pieces and they were all built well. I really like that small looking footprint.

Had the same Nautilus preacher curl. I liked the padding on it more than the much heavier duty Hammer Strength curl that I had.

Nice score
I just scored 6 used buddy capps power bars for 50 a piece. Cleaned em up and they are in great shape. Not bent or anything. Knurling is worn down near sleeves from reracking.

Anyone encountered Cap old school bumpers? Just curious if they're comparable in quality to the similar Hampton bumpers. I didn't know that Cap even made this style.

If they are rubber or urethane and they are old and dry be prepared for possibility of cracking.

6 Attachment(s)
I've been trying to start my own home gym for a while now and I recently picked up some weights. With the help of this forum I think I've brought them back to a somewhat decent shape. Now I'm debating on painting them or not. I really don't feel like dealing with rust removal again.
Did about 9 gallons of vinegar in a tote and let each set of weights soak for ~24 hours sometimes a couple days if I felt like it was needed. Moved them to the tub and rinsed/scrubbed with a brush+ scour pad with dish soap in hot water. Do i need to do more before paint? Should I paint?

Even after all my racks I still appreciate these pop-pins for the simplicity! Bodycraft, Parabody, Tuff Stuff, or even Body Solid. Hard to ask for a better rack at prices like this, easy to adjust and when you want to rearrange its an easy breakdown. My Pro-Elite was a steal but it was a MFER to move around.

That looks like one that was sold at auction from U Pitt awhile back. I really like the Bear Squat machines, although the newer models with horizontal weight horns are much easier to load/unload.

Unfortunately I cannot post links yet, but my CL deal was from a seller about 4 miles away.
Bars:
Olympic 7' (QTY 2) They are both black oxide and not chrome, seem to be of much higher quality that my flaking chrome CAP 7' bar.
Olympic dumbbell bars (QTY 2) - Chrome
1" spinlock EZ Curl (QTY 1) - Chrome
1" spinlock dumbbell (QTY 4) - Chrome, but looks to be US chrome not the flaking off Chinese chrome
Olympic plates: Various manufactures like York, Ivanko & CAP
45lb (QTY 8)
35lb (QTY 8)
25lb (QTY 12)
10lb (QTY 8)
5lb (QTY 4)
2.5lb (QTY 2)
1" plates: Various manufactures, will have to inventory all the different names
50lb (QTY 6)
25lb (QTY 6)
20lb (QTY 6)
12.5lb (QTY 4)
10lb (QTY 12)
5lb (QTY 20)
3lb (QTY 2)
2.5lb (QTY 10)
1.5lb (QTY 4)
70lb hex dumbbell (QTY 2)
And a beat up TDS "Mega Bench"
I paid $850 for everything. When I have enough posts I'd like to post pictures to help identify the bars. I plan to buy the York solid dumbbell handles and use the 1" plates to make a useful dumbbell set out of everything. All the plates need to be sandblasted and painted pretty much, some of them are quite rusted.

detroit craigslist org/wyn/spo/d/ypsilanti-heavy-duty-parabody-power/6788111704.html
This setup in detroit kind of has everything I'm looking for and these packages don't seem to come up often around here for some reason. So I'm willing to pay a little more than usual, but compared to this thread though, it seems really high:
forum bodybuilding com/showthread.php?t=127981243&page=1
That was like 10 years ago, and probably without the pulldown accessory, but $600 10 years ago, and for a company that went out of business how long before that? Is this money better spent somewhere else?
The gear appears to be in good shape, and everything I've seen here says the stuff they made was good. I'm also not worried about adding more accessories.
Thanks for any advice.
(This is a brand new account so I couldn't post links, so I tried to bypass that restriction... Maybe that is not cool and my post might get removed I guess. Sorry if so.)

If you're asking about the ad that wanted $895 for the rack bench , lat attachment and weight set, yes it's way too high. If I wanted that set up bad enough, the most I would pay is about $400 and only because the weights are with it. I bought that same set up new in 2004 and everything new including tax was only about $850, and that rack and bench is older than mine was.
