That Cybex bench looks real familiar.....probably cause that's my garage gym :D
I also have several other things for sale as well.
Top Three reasons to sell your Cybex 5435:
1) Joining a commercial gym, liquidating everything.
2) Moving to a new home don't want to transport, liquidating everything.
3) Financial distress, liquidating everything.
Coincidentally I have experienced two of the three and regret both instances....LOL

I'm moving and won't be able to have a garage gym anymore.

I can respect that. But if there is even the remote chance you might rebuild with a future house, I would stick it in the closet if all you wan't out of it is $120 :(

Figured most people wouldn't pay more for it. What would you sell it for?

Might want to try that Hoist. There were members here who ditched theirs for the Hoist

It's a commercial bench from a highly reputable company, I have seen those easily go for $250-$350 depending on the condition. Demand might differ depending on location, but I would clean it up better & get some pictures of that sexy side profile, and hype up it's reputation for being one of the most sought after commercial benches (no longer in production, ect.).
Or, just put it in the damn closet!!!!! bwhaha

FI or FID?

I hope this isn't off topic. I was wondering if any of you guys have made deals overseas for procuring the equipment. Since I live in India I was planning to import equipment from USA. What would you guys say?
-
I think he's talking about the older 2165 hoist, probably the best hoist bench they ever made. I personally have never tired it, but was/and probably still is praised here.
-
What's the Condition on it? Looks to be in very good condition from the pics I'm viewing on phone. CHECK if there's any within 100 miles of your area. If there isn't and it's in very good condition around $325-375.

I was thinking maybe this one, I know Keetman raved about it but ultimately sold it when he picked up the BEAST EliteFTS that matched his rack. Looks like an awesome bench, but beat Cybex's zero pad gap? Dunno bout that....

Easily worth $400. Someone will talk you down to $350-$375...you can then buy an ounce and be done with it.

Damn I can list it for that much huh? That's why I love you guys man, always making me feel clueless on the pricing lol.
I just relisted it for $400. Let's see if I get any buyers.

2165 is the best. (seen in the pic above) And still to high at 18 1/4" imo. I had one and sold it for a 5435. Which I then sold for a FWMAB. The 3165 is an inch higher, and has weird ergonomic pads.

Thats the one! Thanks! Gotta update my posting.

The FWMAB is one of my top three most desired benches, can't fault that decision. Padding looks identical to the 2165 design, still a gap though ;)

That might be it - obviously it is all personal but knowing your affinity for benches I was shocked you never used the Hoist or the BodyMasters

You'll probably have luck with new equipment, but if you're talking about used equipment off of craigslist, I'll bet it will be really difficult to get people to buy your story thinking it's a scam.

The Hoist 2165 looks damn sexy and the Bodymasters looks just 'okay' design wise, but if all three were lined up for the same price I have a feeling I would still go home with the Cybex. The Hammer FWMAB or Nautilus 0-90 would be a harder decision. Something about that Nautilus has always made my knees weak, and the pad gap is placed at a point where you wouldn't ever feel it during flat bench.

Picking up this Icarian Decline Bench tomorrow for a decent price,
Will fit perfectly with my Icarian Super Bench.
The question I have is if anyone has recommendations as to where I can have the pads redone on both Icarian benches?
There was a thread years ago about someone on the forum who did good work with restorations, but not sure if they're still around..

the pad or the covering?
Str8out found a guy that will sew you a new cover for $25, you just send him the old one and you get a new one back

If you like the Nautilus style with the giant seat then there's a Chinese import coming that you just might want to review... :)
(no idea on price, or height...)

Looks really nice, but I'm not trying to get myself killed by the wife just yet. haha
A buddy I'm training right now is likely going to buy my REP, and I'll probably invest that into a Titan flat with the hefty pad.

Yes! Str8out's thread was the one I remember seeing- I like the look of the work Mike does from the photos in that thread.
I'll have to check with him and see if I can send in the padding covers for replacements.
Thanks guys!
