[QUOTE=irongrandpa;1537856771]For anyone interested, the "Used Gym Store" has these hex bars with kick stands for $140.

That's the Hampton multi hex. Kinda pricey new. I have it as well as others, we're all happy with them.

I have one similar to that with the kickstands. It has a counter weight on one end to where it functions as a deadlift jack. There is no name on the bar but the closest I can guess is it is a York hex bar.
BTW, do you store this in a bar holder or is that too big of a beast to safely store in one of them or even a gun rack style?

No link because it got taken down--
But I missed a set of Pre-USA roundheads- 80-100's in 5lb increments.
$250. 2hr drive. Talk about missing out!
Been looking for a year now for 85, 95 and 100's and that was my chance! haha

I passed on a set of 80-100 pre usa's for $1.50/lb...$1350 total. Dodged a bullet there...lol.

BTW, the guy in Mass still has 2 sets of Ivanko Revolvers, 2 each 5-45 plus another dozen or so 45s as of this morning incase there was someone thinking this deal was over.

Picked up a used Cybex 16001 today. It's purple - guess where it came from - and has what looks like a new pad on it. MSRP is $895. I paid $150. Found it on Facebook Marketplace. Don't overlook FB Marketplace because it has some good stuff listed.

I've sold equipment faster on FB market place than CL lately.

That's a pretty good buy, I sold the same bench with black pads awhile back for $250. I've sold equipment faster on FB market place than CL lately.

Cybex 5435?
What's a good price for this bench?
Owner lists Cybex 5435 says that he's had it for a couple of years and was used in a commercial gym previously; repainted at some point before he got it.
Buy without haste, haggle the price down, or get something different? I have a Parabody 874 FID that I would be coming from.

If not this, then what would you buy new for $500-$1000? I was looking at Rogue stuff as I'm looking to upgrade from my Parabody rack too.

Seems fair to me. If it were in my market, I'd be all over it.
Since you made the error and posted the link here, someone has probably already picked it up. Better luck next time.

Sorry I can't embed pics yet. What do you think of this cybex cage, what would you pay? I may not be able to get it either way, the guy has bundled it with some weights and if he won't sell them separately, I won't be getting it. Also, could you attach front spotter arms onto this one? Thanks

It's a nice rack if it has the safeties with it. That rack uses a unique , spring loaded safety , which works fine. You could also improvise if the safeties are missing. I've seen this rack selling in the $300 - $500 range. If the price with the weight plates is good , get it all and sell the plates if you don't need them.
Any attachments, including front spotter arms would have to be custom made, but , that's not all bad because a couple companies make custom stuff at reasonable prices.

Everything irongrandpa said is right. But remember this rack probably isn't going to fit in most basements, and maybe not under most garage doors. I think it's probably taller than 90". Perhaps 96". I'm wondering if the garage door in the first picture can actually be raised. The sides are large welded sections which might not go down basement stairs.

I have that rack. Its heavy duty and will keep you safe...paid around $400 for it.

There is one listed on Craigslist in southern New Hampshire for $1200 which I think is overpriced . Looks in perfect condition and a nice rack but $1200 ? This seller deals a lot of stuff but he does seem to overprice his stuff.

A really nice looking bench that's available now IMO, is Rep's new commercial bench for $399.

If I was forking out $1200 for a rack it certainly wouldnt be the cybex one. Ive seen this rack listed multiple times over the years in the surrounding DC/PA/NJ and I dont recall a time it was listed for over $600 (which is still too high imo.) Also if you're going to buy this rack at any price make sure the safeties arent bent...guess its a problem a lot of times.

Yeah, way too high. You can't squat/press off the front of the rack, fully welded, huge hole spacing, etc. It's a basic rack except for plate storage. It's not a bad rack...but 1200 used should be a killer rack. That thing should be 400-600.

Agree 1200 used gets you into Powerlift or equivalent on the used market. Top tier pricing. Cybex is ok but not worth remotely that.
-
Thanks everyone for the comments. They really help a lot and great information. I did get him to send me a picture of the safeties and they appear to be okay, but he won't separate the rack from the weights and it's just not that great of a deal for both. He originally had the rack listed separately for 380 but won't even consider that now.

Throwing my 2 cents into this talk. I've actually sold 2 of these Cybex 5425 Power Cages before, 1 for $675, that I listed and sat for like a week, it was in OK shape, there was a good amount of rust/shown of usage on bottom half and all weight pegs, as well as the rods being just the slightest bit bent, like super duper unnoticeable unless to where you'd need some straight edge to go across it just to see the bend. I've also sold one for $800, in very good condition, that was silver, and I just had someone looking for a good quality squat rack. I don't know if it's a trend or people here care, but silver/titanium (like on HS equipment) does command a premium for in my experience

Exactly.. I drove 3 hours each way for a Hammer Strength Half Rack with locking bench in mint condition for $900 and the guy even threw in a stainless steel power bar. A lot of driving but I thought it was worth it.. The Cybex is nice but not $1200 nice.

Not my machine or listing, but this is identical to my Star Trac kneeling leg curl (but mine has purple pads).... at $750 it's a great price compared to new. I wanna say I paid around $2200-2500 for mine brand new. Edit: Now that I see the listing a little closer..... looks like old dude OSUDimond is still around.

OSU seems to still be going strong with the equipment business, although I saw his Power Lift racks up for sale out of his gym facility which made me wonder how that business was functioning. His prices are always on point, here are at least three things I would be willing to buy from him today (if I were in the market).
Legend Half Rack

Heavy duty dip stations for $75

Commercial Knee raise for $75 (needs paint)

$400 Seems like a decent price for a Nautilus Leg Extension

$100 FI Bench Flex Fitness brand (I believe this was a precursor to Star Trac?) Commercial
I think I have seen these used for typically about twice that price

Scored an IM bench with the leg attachment along with the 75 lb IM dumbbell set with stand for 400. Looked almost unused, albeit quite dusty. New to this, but I think I did well.
