Could use some advice, I have 38x 10lb, 8x 7.5lb, 14x 5lb, 16x 2.5lb, 10x 1.25lb pancake plates, one each of 38mm CFFit SDH1,2,3,4,5 handles with screws and washers for each, as well as also having hex bolt and hex end caps for each handle.
Should I pre-assemble some popular sizes and sell them on Craigslist/Facebook or should I sell the handles seperate on eBay and the plates for on CL/FB?
What do you think the going rate is per pound for a pre-assembled dumbbell? Likewise, what is a going rate for a standard pancake plate per pound? Trying to decide on the most lucrative but equally considering the most rapid way to unload these because I don't want to spend a full year selling them. They take up a lot of space.
I don't know the market there, but pro styles with those handles, as long as the plates aren't all rusty, I'd sell for $2LB. or $2.25lb with the end caps. Although, if sold separately they would probably be eBay items... handles fetching anywhere between $30-$50 per pair. Endcaps between $4-$7, and plates between $2-$4lb dependant on size. But keep in mind fees and shipping.
Hope this helps

Is this bodymasters incline t-bar row a good piece? I found one 5 hours away that is for sale for $450
I can't post links yet, but the model on full circle padding website where you can find a picture is T-Bar Row BE 217A
The one thing I'm unsure of is that the foot pads don't look adjustable and the angle is very shallow which seems like you'd be standing on tip-toes while using the unit.
Thanks!

Built like a tank like pretty much everything BM made. You can always change the foot plate if you're even mildly handy.

I agree - I have a Body Masters Shoulder bench that is very heavy duty steel. The other interesting thing I just noticed is that the handle is on a pivot. Thanks!

Checked Marketplace today, I'd say it's safe to say that the shortage of Powerblocks on the used market is OVER! Ad after Ad of adjustable DB's for around $350-400, should be interesting to see how much those prices drop in the next 6-12 months. Could we be flooded with ultra cheap dumbbells when retailers like Amazon / DSG have endless supplies of $249—279 Powerblock 50lb sets like thet normally are?

I’m seeing a lot of steel dumbbell sets as well as power racks. Bars here and there. Still not much in the way of commercial pieces.

Same, LOTS of racks out there but mainly the Fitness Reality 810XLT and comparable from Amazon. Those cheapo racks will be a dime a dozen when this is all over, companies like that won't sell racks for another 5 years during the fallout LOL

I just discovered Offer Up. Can't post links but there's two brand new Hammer Strength pieces for about half price 15 miles away from me : PLATE-LOADED ISO-LATERAL HORIZONTAL BENCH PRESS & PLATE-LOADED ISO-LATERAL SHOULDER PRESS.
He has pictures and they do look new.
The search engine isn't all that great but it seems generally to have less fluff--$19 ab rollers , etc etc - then FB marketplace.

I'm gonna take a stab at it anyhow, but from your above post I might've missed the opportunity to sell the Pro set with U125 rack stand while they were sought after. I found recently upon using them on and off for a while that I'm not crazy about this style of DB and much prefer the IMs (I'm also not a huge user of DBs, so the timing of changing them out a bit slower for maybe 1, or 2 movements on average max ain't all that big of a deal).
I like the innovative quick adjust design on them, but that's about it...extra money in the bank account and a bit of it spent elsewhere sounds more attractive, just my opinion.

Anyone know if a Bodymasters standing preacher would fit in the back of a Dodge Grand caravan (seats down of course)? Thanks!

You can find the exact measurements via Google, but I wouldn't even think twice about it. Nearly all preacher curls (that one included) have a pretty narrow profile. If I can fit one in my SUV with it's unnecessarily low hatch height, you'll have no problem fitting it in a minivan.

Thanks, I did find dimension info online. Unfortunately although it will fit in my van, it won't fit down my stairs to the basement. That thing is deceptively large.
-
What are the dimensions listed? It looks like the pad comes off easily if it's the one I see online, and the rest is smaller than a standard pallet.

The post w/ pad pulls right out. You should be able to fit it pretty much anywhere.

Still not seeing a decrease in prices on Craigslist in my area. May take a year or more before I see good deals again.

It's still so bad by me, sellers insult me, then block me, when I offer MSRP.

Youd feel the same if u were the seller. I have about 49 out of 50 time wasters. It gets old.
My favorite thing is the ones who tell me what a pos i am for prices. Then i find out they are selling stuff. Kinda ironic. I really dont get the purpose there.

Yeah, it's a seller's market right now and there's nothing wrong with applying the principles of supply and demand on exercise equipment. It's not like price gouging on indispensable things like food, water, or medicine.

"Do the right thing, man." Ok, ok, since we're such good friends I'll sell you this item for 50% less than everyone is selling it for. Oh wait, we don't know each other. Cya!

I probably should start paring down my redundant equipment again, but there's nothing to to buy and not dealing with morons for a long while has been nice.
And 3 racks/1 gym is actually pretty nice, too, even if it's a waste of space.

Marketplace seems worse than Craigslist, buyers think they are master negotiators and it's beyond annoying.
I'm still countering all low ball offers at something above my asking price, they don't respond back LOL

Its not a waste if you use them all, right?
Its not a waste if you use them all, right?
Right, but with that logic I could justify anything, ha.
Right now it's:
Squat/landmine stuff in one rack.
OHP/banded rehab stuff in one rack.
Bench/belt squat/cable crossover/leverage OHP in one rack.
It is nice and I do use them all, but it's still a waste of space. I've been joking to a lifting buddy that I'm going to build a second platform so I can set up a deadlift and a row or press at the same time so I don't have to take down/set up anything during a session.

That's all great and everything, but don't you need another rack dedicated to bicep curls?

That's not bad work for a homemade piece, but that price ... Of course the market right now is primarily comprised of people who don't know the difference between Cybex and Weider, have never even heard of Rogers, Panatta or Legend and think rubber/urethane are the same thing. Maybe he'll convince them this is just as good as a Legend FT Fusion but at 1/10 the price.
