I did two sessions yesterday, leg in the morning and chest in the evening just to test out the dual setup.
It was glorious, need to buy more weights, but glorious....
-
I still have my old rack, but space is really cramped lately since my FIL is back in town and I moved my desk downstairs.
Lately I've barely been lifting anyway, what with no days off and all

Sucks, hopefully it slows down for you. In the meantime, feel free to box up those custom mono's for me.
I'll put them to use for you ;)

And the reversible safeties, no need for craftsmanship like that to sit around gathering dust.

Speaking of weights; how are your Rep grip plates holding up? Still recommend them?

No issues so far, they are holding up really well and the only paint wear I see is around the center hub. I plan on adding more in the future, with the second rack I could use at least one more 275lb set. However, the only downside I have noticed with these plates is that they roll around alot during deadlifts. Must just be the design of the rounded lip because I remember someone (SK maybe) say something similar about Revolvers doing the same.

My Pendlay rack would be sweating like Shaq at the foul line if that became a reality....bwhaha
(everyone still on spread)
-
I am thinking about the rep grip plates as well. I was comparing them to rep rubber coated grip plates which are actually less expensive. Would you recommend the iron over the rubber coated for a long lasting product that still looks new?

Whether it's iron, rubber, or urethane coated it makes no difference. IF they still 'look new' after prolonged use you are not doing it right, ipso facto you might say iron has the advantage there because paint is relatively easy to fix (and they are generally cheaper). Also, I prefer the 'clank' sound that results from metal-metal contact so I traded up my urethane plates for iron a long while back. Nothing against coatings though, they can be nice if you workout late at night and have children.

Getting back on track with the CL finds, price seems on point with this one too!

Think I could get anything for a new Titan t3 short yoke minus 3/4 hitch pins and one entire upright?

1) lol no
2) there was so much packaging i had to throw away when his **** arrived, lol. that dude wasn't going to have anything be damaged during shipping, that's for sure.

the flippable safeties are so simple and straightforward you wonder why they didn't come with them initially. to be fair, i think i could have done just fine with the OG safeties (i still have them) but being able to fine tune is very nice.

well i have always been good at delegating work...

pads look aftermarket for sure and frame has seen better days. it also appears the second lower rail is not seared into the frame as it should be. Id want to see why that is.

If it were within a 3-4 hour drive I would already be in the car, even matches the color scheme of my gym :(

That's more than 4 hours for you?
That's more than 4 hours for you?
That's about 5 & 1/2 hours away from me, ONE WAY! I'm not looking to drive more than 3-4 roundtrip anymore, even then the price would have to be REALLY good. The CAP+ is holding down the fort until another Cybex enters my life ;)

I don't blame you - that's far too common a piece to even drive a couple hours to save $100-200
I don't blame you - that's far too common a piece to even drive a couple hours to save $100-200
I have to agree with you guys, I'm at a point that 150 miles each way, 2-2.5 hrs is generally maximum for me. Unless it was an unbelievable, large deal, lol. My wife wouldn't be happy if I couldn't get the drive done in a normal 8-4 day.

Gas, time, and the chance that a random seller on CL might renege on the deal when I get there are all things that I consider before I drive more than an hour or two for something. The math rarely works out.

Man, you guys must be getting old! Those road trips often pass close to scrap yards and PIAS stores.....

This.
2 hours one way for the seller to decide he wants $100 more than we agreed on the phone.

If it's a tough to find piece, different. But a Cybex bench? There will be another much closer for not much more.

heck, i drove 5 hrs from sw michigan to columbus for my powerlift bench. I think it will be the last bench i ever need so i guess it was worth it. BUT, unless someone is giving away something woth $500+ it isnt going to happen again.
its only 1 1/2-2 hrs for me but my 5435 itch was scratched last year.
