Is there another site that sells better? I put an item that anyone here would pull the trigger just to see the action and I have had no bites. I figured Facebook or offer up were the newest thing but I wanted to confirm.
CS has been great for me so I haven't had the need to list elsewhere. I suppose this will vary based on where you're located.

Not if he's selling them for $0.60/lb. That person was having an off day. Ah well, someone got a good deal. Bulk can only lead someone to water...he cant make them drink it.

Yo fellas, just picked up 530 kg of Ivanko OCB. Condition is for sure not the best most of them are starting to split on the sides, but nothing extreme that makes them unusable. Before I tell you how much I paid, just wondering what you guys would pay for a set of OCB or at least a $/kg of what you'd be willing to pay?

if they are starting to split then the value is significantly reduced, as they typically cant be repaired. I wouldn't spend more than $.75/lb or $1.65/kg.

Okay, thanks guys. Sounds like I did fairly good then, I paid $300 for them so .56/kg or .26/lb. 12 (25kg), 10 (20kg), 2 (15kg).
Just made a deal for 2 45 lb hex dumbbells in great condition for 50 bucks. Replace my **** round ones.
To me (maybe some of the legend folks can chime in) this looks like a 3171. The two interior weight storage pins on each side are throwing me for a loop. If one of you pick it up, be sure to post some pictures. I'd like to see how it turns out.

Are you doing barbell bench press or dumbbell bench press? How tall are you? Do you want incline or just flat? Are you pressing in a rack? What is your budget?
The York is not a very good bench.
I live in the same Baltimore area, I have seen a number of commercial quality pieces in the $200 range come and go in the last few years. Bodymasters adjustables, various Hammer Strength, Nautilus Commercial, Cybex, Hoist, etc. Sometimes it is worth waiting. Right now there isn't much on here.
How about this $250 Matrix, it is about a 2 hour drive but looks pretty nice https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/spo/d/vienna-matrix-fitness-adjustable-weight/6865281969.html You might be able to get down to $225 on it.

If you are a tall person like 6'2 plus, this $245 ironmaster might work well for you https://baltimore.craigslist.org/spo/d/essex-ironmaster-super-bench-with-seat/6859174094.html

Hi ampire, Thank you for your answers.
I am 5-10 150lb 45yo male who never lifted a finger LOL. I've lost lots of weight recently and it is time to get some muscles.
My plan is to set up a small cage in my basement. I have a barbell, need the rest of it. Planning to buy a TDS Power Rack from amazon, and a good weight bench, hopefully from craigslist in $100-150.00 range. I do not plan to compete, or get a huge muscles, just to accommodate 2-3 times a week weight lifting in my daily routine. I will lift alone, thus need a cage and a good bench.
IronMaster might be a little too tall as I read about it. I might buy the POWERBLOCK SportBench from amazon as well and close the whole deal, but it is a little out of my budget.
Thanks!

figure out how much money you have to spend in total, and imo the order you need to spend the money is Power Rack, then bench, then bar, then weights. ideally you can find everything used.
and isn't TDS the same company as New York Barbell? I haven't seen anything good come from them...would go with powerline ppr200x, REP Fitness, or even Titan for better name or value if you must buy new. I got the ppr200x when i first started, because it was the most recommended, but i wish i had bought a used one or spent more money and bought better.

around here (Chicago area) those can be had for $150-$200 pretty often, though they are plentiful with Body Solids big distribution near.
Found an RML-3 locally w/ safety straps and Matador dip attachment and Rogue dip belt. Guy is delivering it in about twenty minutes it (which was suprising) for $850. Not a smokin deal, but still a new setup would have cost $1350 to buy and have it shipped. I'm pretty stoked about it!
Hell it was still unpacked on the pallet.
Thinking this belongs in the 'dreamers' craigslist finds...... my alma mater listed some gym equip up for sale on govdeals..... but sadly.... their missing the 'deals' part with pretty steep minimum bids...... but you never know.... someone might bite. The racks aren't actually too bad of a price, but I think they should start a lot lower.

I just posted that in the crew thread. I didn;t look at the prices before posting. Just saw the branded DBs and thought someone may want those. Didn't look at the increments or anything.
Edit: Thought the ad was for the DBs and rack, not just the racks. Someone is crazy with their pricing

a fellow Hokie i see.
It's also annoying because this is probably equipment from their football facility, which is hardly hurting for cash. honestly they should be using this stuff in the main gym for the students. when i was there it was way too crowded to get any lifting done.
I think i used to lift at the Weight Club. I saw some recent pictures online and they've added a bunch of treadmills and turned into a bigger gym. when i was there it was full of power lifters and was dirty and cheap and smelled of sweat and was a really glorious place to lift.

not that it matters, but is the plastic missing on the hooks?
and only spotter arms not full spotters is odd - useful I suppose, but odd
No idea one J-hooks. I thought those were UHMW rollers to let you move the bar side to side.
The spotting arms are the ones they use on their half racks. You can get the standard type too. I was impressed at how closely those fit, and was also wondering why not go with the standard type. All I could come up with was that maybe the owner wanted to be able to mount them off the front of the rack too.
800 for the plates leaves $2200 for the rack, bench, bar, and platform. That also seems very fair, to me.
