Are you talking about midnight snacking or dinner? If it's the latter, don't skip it. Eat a small portion, but make sure it's 2 hours before your bedtime.
Midnight snacking, I'll try leave 300-400 calories for midnight, so hard to say no to them š

Hi lucifer :) tnx for checking in. my cravings are under control. just have other stuff to worry about in my life besides macros or weightloss, im on the verge of getting rid of my alcohol cravings ive had tnx to my voices. i was reading a book about sobriety and it really helped me see the addiction part of my alcohol use. i havent drank since july 1st. and today i met with someone i work with dealing with my illness and he suggests not caring so much about bodybuilding aspect of fitness but consider eating just for health. no exact macro counting and even no calorie counting. its a lil freeing knowing i dont have to live up to my lofty expectations of myself anymore. before i gained a bunch of weight it was my dream to be a natural bodybuilding gym rat, but those dreams are long gone so ill just concentrate on eating less and more healthy. i start work next week so ill be making money soon and ill be able to buy food that suits my goals. anywho thats all thats been going on, i feel like $1,000,000. tnx for caring man, i love you for it, i think this idea that i had to build as much muscle and lose as much fat as fast as possible was making me spin my tires so imma take a slower route. but ill still have fatloss on my mind. no more lofty goals! haha take care dude :>

That person is right - you don't have to look like Arnold. Just eat less and lose some fat so you'll be healthy. Lifting is fine but there's no need to overdo it.
I used to be fat myself and I never tracked my intake. All I did was eat smaller portions sizes and that's how I burned fat. You can do the same thing.

P.S. I'm glad you're starting work. Buy healthy stuff like whole grains, lean meats and veggies. Fruits are also good. They make for a great snack.

lol! when im lazy believe me, im lazy. i browse here occasionally, still havent recieved a pay cheque yet so i havent been able to buy the food i want, i just eat whatever my mom makes. im floating around 358 but tomorrow i will start counting calories again cuz this guessing is getting me NO WHERE! also i havent been able to say no to my voices when they want me to eat at night, but im certain tonight is the night i can make it through. im 100% certain if i didnt eat at night id lose weight for sure but i just wasnt strong enough to fight off their temptations. i dont overeat anymore when i do eat tho which is good. work was tough to get used to but im getting in a groove, even working with troubled kids is becoming a breeze. cant wait to get paid too lol.
Well I have one goal that I think I can keep, and thatās update this journal everyday for the rest of the year. When I keep it updated I try harder, when I donāt I donāt answer to anyone. I exercised today, just 5 mins on the bike, itās a start. Ate a salad for supper, itās a start. I also ate McDonaldās for breakfast, and a fruit and veggie shake with the nutribullet. Other things I have to do is eat more often, I donāt eat frequently enough cuz of my diabetes. Smaller meals more often to regulate the blood. Take care .

Howās it going? I counted some calories and didnāt others, but Iām sure itās under 2500 for the day. Today was pretty terrible in the world. Hate terrorism. I ate 2 wagon wheels, 1 bologna sandwich, 2 slices of toast, 1 cup of apple juice, 1 bowl of soup with like 7 crackers, and 1 bowl of cereal. Other than the wagon wheels today was good. Good night!

Well I ate at a restaurant for the last 4 meals cuz Iām on a business trip and I donāt plan ahead. My next step on the agenda is to eat paleo cuz it looks like a healthy way of eating, I plan to ease my way into it not full on head first. I have to be mindful of my diabetes and this will regulate my blood. Good night

Vadsie, I read your log with every update and lately each update has brought a smile to my face. Youāre doing great, and step by step you are starting to take back control of your life. That is a HUGE first step to take. Great job man, now just keep on the right path!
aww tnx dudes :) today was a "eff it" kinda day with all the tnxgiving food. i entered half of tomorrows meals in the myfitnesspal's website so i shouldn't be guessing what to eat tomorrow and say "eff it" there again. I still gotta research paleo, doing so will take a couple weeks, and this will be a gradual lifestyle change, not a temporary cutting diet. im thankful this eating holiday is over!
Today was an interesting day, but with this illness it doesnāt surprise me. My voices forced me to stay home from work after lunch and they continued to aggravate me throughout the evening, which led me to decide to quit working all together. After much arguing and negotiating they decided to let me lose weight if I continue to work. So things will start picking up soon if they keep their word. I also realize Iām addicted to junk food now, if theyāre true to their word I will eat better but baby steps, if I go too hard right away itāll be discouraging. Good night folks š“
Stay strong, V. Get rid of all the junk food you can. If you still want to indulge, keep it out of sight because it's easier to get tempted if you see the food.

I didnāt update for awhile cuz I felt it was taking long to make progress and I didnāt want to log any non progress. Sry. Glad itās the weekend. Night.

Been reading an awesome book about alcohol (love reading about the stuff) called Alcohol Explained by William Porter. It is teaching me so much. My appetite is pretty much back to normal. Hi there, the goal for this week is 353. It will take awhile for me to get where I want to go so I might as well get comfortable. Iām eating less but I donāt know the exact calories. When I wake up I just eat whatever I find then say āeffitā. So Iām semi counting. I had a mini binge last night meaning 2 cookies and 2 hotdogs with a tall glass of apple juice that I didnāt want to eat. But if I make it to 353 it wonāt matter. My diet isnāt all junk food. Putting everything I eat into a calorie counter doesnāt sound good to me. Iām either too lazy or I really donāt want to do it. So I opt for the next option, which is to guess how much Iām eating. I know once the ball is really rolling Iāll make more improvements. But the lazy way is the current way Iām doing things. See yāall later.
Things are going well. I just took my sugar and itās 6.3! Iām still around 355, oh well as my sugar and diet improve I will lose weight. Ty for reading

Heyyy there :), hows everything been going with you all? im not far from my last post's last weigh in. i think my lowest from last post has been 353.6 and im currently at 357.4. Holidays were tough. and today was especially tough. for no apparent reason my illness wanted to ruin my day and they got their wish. but im trying to put today behind me. hopefully tomorrow is a better day. im going to start counting calories tomorrow. i know for a fact i can sleep without eating. so its time to get up on the horse and start moving. todays meals weren't straight garbage but not as healthy as they should be. tomorrow will be better. im off for now, im happy to be back. :)

Iām a little hesitant to exercise cause I dunno what my future is like. I really donāt like doing things that seem pointless, like using exercise to cut calories when theyāll get negated by junk food consumption. When things get rolling so will I. Hi, my weight is around 358. Iām way too lazy. Ate 3 pizza pops for lunch 1 muffin 8 cheese, crackers, and garlics. And 2 plates of Chinese food. Will keep updating and will report my food and exercise. I have a Fitbit so thatāll motivate me, will see yāall later.

You should plan one day each week to eat a predetermined diet plan and follow it. Do that for a few weeks then do two days a week and do that for a month or two before adding a third day.
You should put in some kind of exercise plan too. Any thing at all, but get up and moving.
You have potential, use it!
