Cheers in advance.
Looking for some advice about bulking/cutting/recomp as well as a BF % estimate. (I'm thinking ~20%)
I've only been working out consistently for about 1 month. I'm 157 lbs currently and have been cutting the whole time, down from around ~162. My ideal weight is right around where I'm currently at except.. lower body fat and more muscle obviously lol. I'm thinking of bringing calories up to maintenance and just recomping. It seems a little counter intuitive to me to cut down to maybe 145-150ish and then bulk right back up to the weight i'm already at.
Hi can i please have a bodyfat % estimate after my short 5 week cut
Before cut
https://m.imgur.com/a/H2IX8Cf
After
https://imgur.com/a/KrBS6Uz
Ive lost 5.5lbs
So im around 154.5 now and im 5'7
Tbh i cant see much different and its unmotivating. I did maintain most of my lifts and ive actually lost 1.5 inch of my waist
Hi All,
6ft, 180 lbs.
Looking for a bf estimate. Navy tape test puts me at 13%.
(Before pic) Returned to training after a long time off, started cutting at -500 cal, high protein, while just compound lifting 3 x pw, 6 weeks ago at 181 lbs.
(After pic) 6 weeks later weighing almost exactly the same at 180 lbs!
Looking for before and after estimate and advice on whether to continue at these calories or reduce further. Cutting until abs before lean bulk.
Cheers

Around 25lbs will should get you close to that range.

I wouldn't be concerned on a actual percentage if you have body dysmorphia but the range of around 21%

I am afraid you are in that range were noticeable changes take longer then 5lbs as some of that will just glycogen and water. Around 18% losing another 10-15lbs will make the difference.

Well thanks anyway for the reply. Cant believe i wasted 5 weeks just for 5lbs of waterweight.
Well thanks anyway for the reply. Cant believe i wasted 5 weeks just for 5lbs of waterweight.
I never said it was all water weight but some will be some will be fat. How many calories are you eating below your estimate maintenance TDEE. As what % is water vs fat no-one will know 5 weeks is just not long enough on a cut IMO as the first week or two you may still technically be in a surplus/ maintenance of calories over a prolonged period (e.g. caloric average for fortnight/ monthly). Switching to a deficit takes time for your body its not a on off switch.
If you want to lose more fat just keep going. I am in the same boat I have lost 5-6lbs since beginning of January and the effects are not massive yet. Although I know for me the next 10lbs will be massive changes just keep push foreword and ensure your workouts aren't suffering.

21% damn thought I was almost done cutting lol thanks I’ll keep going
Hey there.
Been doing this thing for a couple of years now... I'm somehow interested by bodyfat % estimates, but even more about second opinions on what I plan to do in the coming months.
Right now, I'm 5'11 and 185 pounds. I try to eat around 3000-3250 calories a day, pretty much all of which is clean food. I'm working out 5 to 6 days a week, mainly in an bodybuilding fashion (never going quite under 6 reps per set, and going with good form/focusing on muscle contraction more than lifting the weight up).
I plan to keep eating 3000, 3250, even maybe 3500 calories of 6 to 8 more weeks to gain as much mass as possible, and then cut down a good 5 to 10 pounds for the summer.
Is it something that I should be doing? I gotta say it's mentally challenging. I feel fluffy as **** right now and I know if I don't get out of my comfort zone I'll never build any new muscle at the point I'm in in my training journey.
Thanks for your help!

Don't be too concerned I am the same height as you and I have to cut below 180lb to look half lean.
Got to admit though cutting sucks

17%ish I dont see your plan being wrong sounds good all I can say though is you will likely need to cut more then 10lbs but other then that all fine.

Fair enough. I don't plan to go over 188 -190 pounds. Just want to maximize the gains before a potentially 2 to 3 months long cut.
Photos are in my gallery, could not post here thank you

13% maybe a touch lower.
Just wondering if anyone can give me a body fat Estimation..
I am currently 89kg, 6 ft 5, 22 year old male.
I haven't been in the gym for well over 9 Months and just started training again this week and wouldn't mind a plan if anyone has any suggestions.
Before all of this I cut to 79 kg and looked extremely thin whilst still holding a fair amount of fat around my hips :/
I honestly feel like my body type is a bit weird due to fat around my hips and lower stomach not really sure what to do about it
Pretty devo I let myself get back to this state but my ex and working 3 jobs contributed to me having no spare time.
Hoping its not that high. Honestly really want abs but feel like I am wasting my time because even when I cut right down I still have bad fat around my hips

Around 19-20%. You should start off with eating maintenance calories and following a progressive training program such as Fierce 5:-
https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=162916931&page=1
As you previous bf% request was around 13% and you have gained 9kg since then I would say the 19-20% mark is close:-
https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=173620211&p=1574533321#post1574533321
If you haven't been to the gym or weight trained the likelihood of building muscle will be minimal. You should attempt maintenance training for a while and get back to regularly weight training.
I would say weight train around maintenance calories for the next 4-6 months then review your progress and see if you need to focus on one direction or the other.

I've started cutting hoping i have some muscle underneath my fat. Just wondering at which range my body fat is at the moment. 6 ft 5, 255 LBs. Thank you.
I have two sets: day 0 and day 30. I don't know if the estimates will be sufficiently accurate not to overlap.
30 years old, 174 cm (5'9").
Day 0 weight: 104.7 kg (231 lbs)
Day 30 weight: 96.5 kg (213 lbs)
