Thanks for the assessment. Do you think I should bulk ASAP like Feb 1st or keep cutting until the end of feb?
You need more muscle muscle much worse than you need to lose weight... ;-) Start now.
I think 16% is a reasonable guess.
Hey
I was just curious to how lean they were, i plan on cutting from 315lbs after this off season and want to set a goal physique to have
So about 3 weeks ago I posted a couple pictures (estimating myself at 15%) while you had me estimated at 13-14% ish.
I'd assume I'm at about 12% right now but I'd let you be the judge
Pictures are relaxed & flexed

Thanks a lot! Your comment made me happy...can’t wait to come off this cut! I’m gonna gradually increase my calories until I reach a modest surplus and monitor my weight from there. Thanks again!

No one should be obsessing about their bf% unless they are competing. The measuring devices aren't accurate anyway.
Just stick to correct portion sizes to get started. Did you take a look at the stickies for THIS particular info? I would also try Quest protein bars for "dessert"/snacks. They are low in calories but are a high-quality whey protein isolate supplement.

I’m just curious how lean they really are
I’m just curious how lean they really are
That's the thing- no one really knows because all bf % measuring devices are inaccurate. It's a guestimate. I just go by how I appear in the mirror and I don't rely on numbers to tell me how fit or muscular I am. My regimen, my food selection and my results will speak for themselves. If I was competing I would have to focus strictly on bf%, but it's flawed anyway.
I just read some posts above. If anyone believes they may have BDD (body dysmorphic disorder) then they should see a qualified eating disorder specialist/center as soon as possible. Good luck to all.

5'7" 163lbs right now, going for about 154lbs. I want the 10-12% bf look, hopefully my goal is realistic lol. I will reevaluate when I get there.
Anyone?
Anyone?
You’ll need to be less than 153 if you want 11%
You’re at around 25% right now I think

Sup Adam? Can you check my post above since you gave me an estimation last time

I’m 22, 6’1, 166 pounds waist is 29, trying to get down to a true 8%, how much do I have left?
Sup Adam? Can you check my post above since you gave me an estimation last time
Well, you were 136lb last time and I estimated about 13.5%....
If you know how many lbs you've lost since then, you can just do the math against you're lean body weight and get a pretty reasonable guess...

You'll never know if you're a 'true' 8% unless you die and get an autopsy...
You're super lean... isn't that enough?

I said that bc people often underestimate how lean 8% looks.
Thanks , I think I’m close, but not quite lean enough yet, still holding some fat/water in my lower abs
Was wondering if this forum could help me estimate my current body fat. I want to check my progress to determine whether I should trim down some more or bulk up. I’m 5’8, 19 years old and 145 pounds. Unfortunately, I have no posts so you’ll have to look on my profile for the pics, sorry about that. Any feedback is greatly appreciated👍
Anyone?
13-16

Uh... might wanna consider that you have some pretty weird standards if you’re hellbent on strangers giving you a reason to feel good about your leanness.
Since we can’t know your actual BF... why not just stop when you feel like it?
It’s kind of unhealthy to seek external validation or permission to make a diet or routine change...
I’d say 10%. Maybe 9.
Agreed

I think you may be misinterpreting me.
I am stopping when I feel like it. I have an idea of what 8% looks like in my head and I’ll stop when I think I’ve reached that level.

If that’s true, then why are you asking us?
If that’s true, then why are you asking us?
I’m just curious where other people think I am? Doesn’t have to be a profound reason that affects what I do. Just curious.

So if everyone here said you were 13%, you really wouldn’t change course? I find that hard to believe.

I’d be surprised and find 13% weirdly high but I don’t think I’d change anything. Ultimately the destination is looking a particular way not being a particular number.

This whole time you’ve been saying 8%...
And yet, it’s not about a number ?
