Do you think getting below 20% over a 2 month period is a realistic goal?

3% bf in 2 months at a higher body fat percentage is easily attainable.
If you drop a steady 2lbs a week that would bring you down to 191lbs and put you closer to 18% bf or so if my math isnt too far off(estimating a little muscle loss) That's a 1000 calorie a day deficit for two months.

Appreciate it! I'm planning on cutting for longer than 2 months, but I'm going to Mexico in July, so I was just wondering what type of results I could expect by then.

And thanks for your input! BF calculator has me at 27%, but I'm not sure how accurate those are. You seem to have a pretty good eye for this.

Not sure if you're flexing. It that's relaxed, then my guess is about 13-14%.
If you are flexing, then maybe about 15-16%.

I'm around 15 pounds heavier (and fatter) than i was during march, but my weight has stayed mostly the same during april till this day. Workouts feeling great though, still a lot of improvement to be made.
Thank you!

Hello. I'm a 33 man, back to the gym after 10 years. 68kg (150), 173cm (5'67), I was on a deficit (1900-2000) for 2 months, after loosing 12kg I'm deciding right now what to do.

About 17% You could cut a bit more, but you might want to try eating a maintenance for a few months and see if you can recomp. Since you have lifted previously, you have the advantage of muscle memory

Next month and next 10 lbs off and about 3 inches off waist. Now at 185 lbs/5'10. I estimate about 18% BF, what you guys think? I carry a lot of fat in my midsection. Legs are doing nice, and back as well.

Hey guys, looking for a BF estimate. I'm 5' 10", currently about 150lbs. I've lost 25-30lbs since November. I would estimate about 5-10lbs of that was water weight. So I probably lost somewhere close to 20lbs in terms of real weight. I don't have any before pics, so I'm not sure what my body fat was starting out, but I estimate in the high teens.
I'm guessing I'm aroudn 12%.
It seems that I lost a lot of muscle (according to my math) given that I've lost so much weight, but not so much fat, IMO. I've lost about 1" off my bis, 2" off my waist, and around 2-4" off my thighs.
All pics are relaxed

Hey guys, would love a quick BF% estimate. I don’t know how to post pics here so if you don’t mind checking my BodySpace progress photos that would be great. I’ve been cutting for a while now and I’m 5’11 148 lbs. I really thought I’d have abs by now lol and they’re barely visible when I flex. I was hoping to start bulking when my abs were a bit more visible but I’m really weary of cutting. Just hoping for a quick estimate so I can think this through. Any feedback is appreciated!

Yeah, I'd say you were around 20% when you started.

You need more muscle to have visible abs. Bf is 10-12%.

Yeah 20% sounds about right. I used to think I was around 15% body fat until I started this cut and realized that I was much higher than I thought. Assuming that I started around 20% and ended up around 12% with about 20-25lbs lost, and assuming about 5-10lbs of that was water weight, this would mean that I lost about 15-20lbs of muscle&fat. So if I lost around 8% body fat, it seems that I lost around 5 lbs or so in muscle...I've definitely gotten weaker on this cut. My max on lifts has probably decreased about 15%, so I guess that indicates that I probably lost more muscle than normal.
When you're estimating BF% "visually," I'm assuming water weight could really affect the visual estimation? What about when you use those caliper things, do they account for water weight?
Yesterday I ate a lot of carbs (about 200g more than usual) and today I weighed in a few lbs more than usual, due to water weight, and I noticed that my waist is about 1" larger as well, and my abs looked a lot less defined today. It seems water weight is stored around my abdominal area. I can't tell what is water weight and what is fat.

Hello, just made my account today and first time poster. Been back in the gym for about 7 weeks and decided to start cutting.
I'm 5'8, 172 lbs, 29 years old. Would you classify me as skinny fat? I'm estimating I'm about 30% but could be even more. Check my bodyspace for pics, I have some flexing my stomach some not. I find the most annoying thing about my figure is my stomach bulging out. I started at around 178, and in 3 weeks I went down to 172, but I guess most is water weight?
Also I'm so freakin' weak, does it not matter how weak I am, if I'm a high enough bodyfat % I should still cut? And maybe make some newbie gainz in the process?
Once again, pics are in Bodyspace. Thank you!

Closer to 20%. Your posture is off which is making you look fatter than you are. I would cut at a moderate pace, e.g. 1lb/week for about 12 weeks. Lift heavy and you should get stronger during the cut. Re-evaluate when you reach 160 or so.
