Did a 10 week transformation, what do you guys think the starting and ending bf percentages are?
To start off with your description is a tad misleading those two pictures are not 10 weeks apart simple as that. Based on your images on your profile the first one was back in 2010 and the new one is present so 9 years. Just in case people read that and get confused and expect 10 week results to do this as they wont.
OK as for bf%, first 26% mark, second - 13% about (good lbm)

Say what you must but that is 10 weeks apart brother. The week 1 photo is not old, I have a motorcycle helmet in there and i got my bike license 1 year ago not to mention the giant tv in the background lol..I have it all documented on my phone with the dates listed on the details panel. And to be fair its 10 weeks and 3 days. Either way thank you for your input :) here is a video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nSCovfdMOtQ

OK I do have my doubts based on the world of technology these days but hey what do I know (I'm getting old). As for your progress you have made fantastic change in 10 weeks although from my standpoint when offering advice I still would be wary in implying that this is kind of body composition occurs in 10 weeks for everyone. Based on your previous images you had a good physique back in 2013 so the progress from muscle memory must have really helped..... (plus good lighting, relaxed vs flexed state).
Anyway back to bf% estimates on this thread however fantastic work does show what dedication can do (rep), although many people have to remember if you lack lean body mass to begin with make any transformation to lean is pointless you will just be skinny.

15% about. Personally I wouldn't bother going to 10% its nothing special and will take a while which eats into potential muscle building time maybe lose a little bit more then focus on building muscle.

Thank you brother.
Do you think I am big enough to justify a cut? In the year I have been working out I have gained about 1kg, so I have been essentially eating around maintenance. Should I continue that?

Yes you are big enough to cut. Its down to preference if you want summer aesthetics then cutting will be the route. If powerlifting is the plan then carry on with small surplus.

Thank you for that!
Out of interest - how did you know I was interested in powerlifting?
How long would you cut for / down to what %age? I have no experience in trying to lose fat!

You are 21 and built solid you don't get that from lifting small weights.... Not to mention your core is noticeable even at a higher bf% which indicates strong progress in the major lifts (generally).
I cut to I am about 15% then reassess depending on how much muscle I start noticing and if my lifts are taking a hit or not. If I have enough muscle for this year I cut down to about 11-13% before leaning bulking again, if not enough muscle I start lean bulking around 15%.
Read this sticky will start you in the right direction on how to lose fat.

That's very interesting - thank you for that. I was actually confused about why I can see my core (especially when I do the Valsalva maneuver) at my body fat - I did not realise that the major lifts would help to build it that much!
I guess I will aim for 15% for now. Thank you for the guides - I will have a look through them in a min :)!

Estimate Please
I've been bumbling around with my first 10 months of weight training and cutting. I think I'm getting close to where I want to be to start a lean bulk, but wanted a few other opinions.
My pictures are in the progress pictures of my bodyspace. They are the ones from this month (Jan 2019).
I'm 36 years old, 5' 10'', and currently averaging between 162-165 lbs.
As a side note, this is the first time in my life I have ever been able to see my abs and I am excited to see what I can do from here.
Any estimate will be appreciated.

Hey thanks! I'm pretty excited about the progress I've made...definitely longer than I first thought but very satisfying. I will probably cut for about three more weeks then move into a lean bulk even if I'm 13-14%. Though it has taken so long to get here I don't know what to do with all the extra calories that will be available.
Thanks again!

How would you recommend I go about cutting? Should I take an aggressive approach or a slower approach (1lb a week).

at 30% you should be fine at even a slight calorie deficit, count calories. Dont be afraid to drop 2-3lbs a week for the first 3 weeks, after that pull it back down to 2lbs a week just make sure you get a lot of you calories from lean meats and protein to keep your metabolism from crashing, up the cardio to 10k steps a day minimum, have the weights 3-4 x a week, your body will need more rest. Im in the middle of my cut and I started of at a similar bf% as you and if I have learnt anything is its to make sure you get your protein intake down, u can have some steaks act the firest few weeks but after they will contain to many calories so you will need to change to chicken breast and brocolli ect, Either way good luck.

You look like you are in a relaxed state so around 14%ish (maybe lower as the pic is a tad difficult to get a whole estimate but 14% is close) as I can see the outline and some ab definition. Look good not much more to cut in my opinion before a good solid bulking phase.

About 13-14% but as you said you have little lbm so your core wont be noticeable. Time to build muscle, if you unsure how read the stickies on the nutritional and workout section.

Can't really tell without a frontal pic very well as most fat storage on men is around the waist. However I would judge near the 19-20% as I can't see any core however post a relaxed front picture and I will have another look.

17% is a close shout. Its down to you really you could drop another 10lbs then go from there or start now if you don't mind a little extra fat as you do need to start focusing on building muscle soon. May be worth starting building muscle first just take weight gaining slower (add around 1-2lbs a month)

Okay thanks a lot bro I think ima lose about 5-8more pounds then start a slow bulk

Would like to get two pictures estimated if that is alright. Both are in my profile.
First one is labelled August 2018. 152 lbs 5'10"
Second one is Jan 2019 I think I'm about 166-167 there.
I think my problem is I just have no muscle? I feel like I got <15% after my cut in the first one (probably wrong) but I just didn't have any lean body mass. But after my bulk it looks like I just put on fat again. Any tips on how to proceed? I was thinking of beginning a cut at the end of the month, but I haven't gotten stronger, so I'll probably just end up where I started.
