Maybe it's just me but I understand these are estimates but some of them seem just plain wrong. Seems to me, slimmer people or people with less body fat are getting higher percentages and people who look more out of shape/more body fat are getting lower body fat percentages than expected...
I don't mean no harm.. but is it just me?

it's because lot of times they are skinny-fat. bf% is your fat% so the remaining weight is your muscle/organs/bones/etc - but if you don't have a lot of muscle and have a belly, your bf% will generally be higher.
hi all
25, 6'0, 173lb
first 2 pics are flexed and the last 2 are relaxed. i've been getting some suspicious fat % estimates using online calculators (using both simple and more in-depth ones). they keep estimating my body fat % around 9-12% but I find that hard to believe because I have some decent flub. Based on my picture-comparison estimates, I'm on the higher end between 15-20%.
also if anyone has any comments about my physique (where my fat is, what muscles i should focus on, etc) those are welcome too.

I'd say 16-17%. Right now, I wouldn't focus on any specific muscles. You need to build muscle everywhere.

Hey!
I'm 20M, 175cm and currently 76kg and am bulking. I'm lifting seriously for 2.5 years and I came from 50kg to 76 in 4 years. I'm not really sure what bf% am I right now and I'm also curious what bf% will I be in 3 months at the end of my bulk if I'll gain 1.5kg/month so I'll be 80kg at the end of april. What bf% will I be then?
Then I'll cut for 2 months and how much bf% can I lose if I'll lose 4kg (of fat) in that 2 months? Will keep training the same, just cut calories. This will be my first ever cut. Thanks!

15-16%. We can't really say what your bf will be in the future. It depends on how well you retain mass on the cut. If your nutrition is good, you should do well.

Can anyone please give me a bodyfat estimate? The pictures are in my bodyspace.
For those who want to hear me out, read below..
I've just undergone a 60 lb. weight loss over the past 8 months, with an eating disorder and improper training. I was eating once a day, however much I want.. and consuming lots of water. I was stupid, and became too fixated on trying not to look like a cow.
Well, now I look like a smaller cow and I realize I accomplished nothing.
However, I have been eating proper and training regularly for the past 3 months, and have undone SOME of the damage by cutting the fat / increasing a biiit of muscle.
I will continue this as a new lifestyle, and make smarter choices from here on out.[/QUOTE]
Your body fat is 26.3.you have done excellent work. Why you told that You are look like small cow? According to your height of 6' 2" your ideal healthy weight is 174 pounds. Your recommended weight range is between 155 and 194 pounds. Your weight of 205 pounds is above your ideal.

Hi all!
Long have I been meaning to get in shape, I've slowly made my way from 96kg -> 83kg, and this year I'm intent on getting that good look for summer!
So I've come here for some advice. I'm 5' 10.5", 83kg, always been somewhat active, so I think I have *some* muscle base (nothing from your perspective though I'm sure!) lighting isn't good, but with tensing i can *just* about make out and feel some intercostals, and a slight hint the apollo's belt "V", but that's it. I'm assuming ~18-20%, and that about 5kg of lean loss with a focus on crunches, chest, ad bi/triceps would be about enough to *start* getting the general tone out. I'm not looking to get "ripped", just a healthy "solid" look with a hint of abs.

Stop cutting. You have nothing more to cut.
Hi,
I have been following the forums for a while and was hoping to get some advice. I am 38 years old, 6 ft tall, now weight 159 lbs, 15% body fat (Fat calipers and Navy method). My goal is to eventually gain lean weight of around 170 Lbs /10% body fat.
6 months ago, I had bulked up to 196 pounds. Unfortunately, I did not do a clean bulk and had gained decent amount of fat with muscle (my guess is that I was 25% body fat). At the time my plan was to bulk up and then cut down to 10% body fat.
Since then, I have cleaned out my diet and have been in a caloric deficit of 20% from TDEE (w comes out to be 2100 calories per day). In the last 6 months I have reduced my body weight from 196 to 158. My waist has gone down significantly (presently 32 inch) and my body fat has reduced down to 18% (measured using calipers and Navy method). Unfortunately, I have definitely lost muscle mass during the cutting phase in the last 6 months.
My Macros are 36% carb, 26% Protein, 36% fat. I had read different theories on workout diets and I went with the idea that if you have protein ( 0.7 g/ lb) and fat (0.6 g/lb) then the remaining calories can be filled up with carb. My exercise include working out 40 minutes 3x/week divided between Bench press, Dead lifts and squats to failure every set. HIIT 10 minutes 1-2 times per week.
I have attached my pictures so you can assess my body fat. As you can see I am skinny with loss of muscle mass.
My questions are:
Do I continue to be in a caloric deficit and get my body fat down to my target of 10% and then try to do a clean bulk to get my desired weight of 170 lbs. My estimate is that I will have to lose another 10 lbs to reduce my body fat to around 10%. That will definitely make me very skinny but if that is the route I have to take to get the eventual goal then that is fine.
2) Alternatively, should I switch to doing a clean bulk (250- 500 calories surplus / day) now and try to gain muscle before cutting again?
3) Am I not seeing results because of macros or insufficient exercise?
I underestimated how much I would have to lose to get the body fat down to my target. I read that if done right (high protein and lifting) then minimum muscle would be lost in the process. I guess I was wrong. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
^^^I would guess 16 or so. Opinions may vary here but you don't look too fat to start a bulk. I would do a clean, slow bulk and put on some muscle first. If you cut now, you will look emaciated at 10%

1. I wouldn't cut anymore. Instead, I would lean bulk. Your bf is around 16%, but your posture's off which makes your stomach appear larger. I would work on that.
2. Hard to say w/o more information, but my guess is your routine could use some work. What have you been doing?
Hey guys looking for an estimate of body fat % for where I'm at. I've been cutting for last few months and current stat's for morning are 6'2/210.
Top photo is about 9 months back. Curious what I was back then for body fat %. I was 235 in that photo. Seems cut has been going well though it has been slow/steady.

Workout Monday: Bench press 120Lb then reduce by 20 lbs for set (each set to failure, total 5 sets) + 10 minute HIIT stationary bike
Workout Wednesday: Biceps, superset with triceps 30 lbs each to failure. Reduce to 5 lbs subsequent sets every set (each set to failure, total 5 sets)+ Dead lift 100 lbs to failure x 3 sets (usually around 6 reps)
Workout Friday: Squats (90 lbs) + calves (90 lbs each, each set to failure, total 5 sets) + 10 minutes HIIT
