Wow same height and weight yet we have different structure and fat distribution:)
Except you actually have definition and abdominals, I never see mine and I got quoted slightly less body fat. People have been saying I’ve gotten larger in last 11 months steady training 4-5 days a week.
I eat anything:everything. Including stuff like ice cream and such for dates w girls and all that jazz. I just eat to stay satisfied not hungry.
I don’t know if I’m bulking or cutting because I’ve stayed same weight all year. Just getting larger size overall and way stronger.
Benched 265 one rep this week.

Hey guys, so i was an ex fatty. I know it might be harder to tell but i am really curious in your opinion on how much % i am on right now.
I am 185 cm/6’1 and about 81kg/178lbs.
I plan to continue cutting until i trim all the fat around my body area so i can creat a decent canvas to build on.
Thanks in advance 👏🏻

I have tried everything to cut body fat an build lean calorie-burning muscle.

If possible please post questions about current bf% and advice from estimates here. All other questions post on the main page or it will clog up the thread.
p.s. any colour teas is not going to cut body fat unless in a calorie deficit :-)

Hi,
So I’m trying to get back in shape again, it’s been awhile. I know that I’m at the higher end, but I want to establish a baseline body fat to work from. I have some photos up on my profile. For reference, I’m 6’1, 235 pounds, and my waist circumference is about 45 inches.
Thanks.

I think fat distribution for females look different from males at those percentages. For example before I had lost weight after my pregnancy I weighed 160 and my height was 5'7 and i think i had 24 bmi and i looked fatter than the image up there showing bmi of 25 percent.

Around 15-16% as your core is coming in well, you are not far off (best range for lean bulking if between 11-15%) really maybe a little bit more weight lose then you can start a lean bulk.

I've been in a 1000 calorie deficit now for the past 5 weeks and according to my "trustworthy" scale I've lost 2% bodyfat.
What bodyfat% would you say i'm currently at?
Thanks for any inputs in advance!
I'm at 180 cm /5'11 and 88kg/195lbs

Unfortunately, the lighting, distance, and angles, absolutely and completely suck. The huge amount of hair doesn't help either.
If I had to pick a BF% range, I'd say 18%-23%. I guess 20% would be an OK estimate based on these pictures, but you might look much leaner in more quality photos.
That said, congratulations on your fat loss. :)
Even though I expect some (if not many) to disagree, I'd say based on your height, 77 kg - 84 kg should be your cut - bulk range. I don't know anything about your training, or how long you've been cutting, but it might be good to safely drop to around 77 kg, then maintain that for a while to see how much your lifts progress, and once they stop progressing, go into a 200-300 kcal daily surplus, with proper macros, and proper training, based on info you'll find in the stickies on this forum.
Good luck.

My profile pic was taken this morning after a 5 week cut. I'm going to start lean bulking again now.

I was hoping to get down to 12%, but I think I'm around 14% - do you agree?

Interested
I'm interested to get a better idea of my BF%. I've been cutting for 6months just to get down to a good BF% to start my first bulk.
Current weight 85.5kg / 188.4lbs
Height: 180cm / 5ft 11in
I think I need to cut some more before starting my bulk, but I kind of want to start now (re: I want to start eating calories again!) :)

you still have room to cut, your lower body fat is still there, i think you're 15-16%

Thanks for replying!
Using a goal percentage calculator it tells me in order to achieve about 10% i need to go down to 72kg.
I really want to get rid of my belly pouch and the muffin top before starting the bulk. Would it be ok for me to do so?
Also, good job on you weight loss to you too!
Exdit:I added some (better pics?).

I would say you are at around 20%. I would still cut at 500 deficit for 2 more months consistently, then lean bulk +200 above maintenance

The pics are better but still not good. You are too close to the camera, and the lighting isn't good. It's preferable for light to be directly above you, and you standing a few feet away from the camera. But regardless, I'd say based on these pics that it's around 18-20% BF.
Forget goal percentage calculators, they can be misleading for various reasons. If you want a solid BF estimate, try the Durnin Womersley caliper method. It is EXTREMELY good, as opposed to Jackson Pollock. The DEXA scan is viewed as the holy grail, but even though it does measure everything, it can still be misleading due to accounting for intramuscular and visceral fat. What you care about is subcutaneous fat, as that's what we estimate when looking at pictures. So what in the fitness community is seen as 10% might show up as 15% in DEXA, due to more visceral and intramuscular fat. For that reason I recommend Durnin Womersley, quality photos, and opinions of experiences people like on this board. It's also a good idea not to be solely focused on numbers, but simply measuring your skinfolds (always with the same calipers) and watching them consistently go down, indicating more and more fat loss.
I don't see a reason for you to drop to 72 kg. I'd say 77 kg is enough, 75 kg if you really want to push it.
And thanks for your compliments on my own weight loss.
