Hello, can someone please give a body fat percentage estimate I weigh 156 lbs and I am 5'7. Thank you.
Could someone please estimate my bf%? seems like it's hard to estimate since ppl gave me different answers.

i'm saying 15%?
im cutting down to lean 10% from skinnyfat then lean bulking.
thanks alot in advance!
Thanks man, I was more thinking 10-12% since my arms are still soft.
You would be the leanest 12% I have ever meet....
Meet in the middle and say 10-11%. You are incredible lean although you also have a large amount of lean body mass so any fat you have may just be not as noticeable to others simply because of your muscular size. I can't imagine someone having as defined serratus anterior and vascularity in the chest above 11% but is possible I guess.
Whatever % you look fantastic and if you plan to go lower it will be very intriguing.
Hi all. Can anyone estimate my bf please? Im 5'7 and currently at 172 lbs. The picture is in my profile gallery.

Thanks!
20% and cut. Make sure you follow a decent workout program whilst doing your cut and you may add a small amount of muscle.
Hi hardyboysare i would like another bodyfat estimate these one is before my lean bulk.

About 15% before your lean bulk.

Some background - used to weigh in at 260lbs hence the excess skin. Currently cutting with a blend of cardio / lifting. My goal is to continue to lower bodyfat towards 15%. At the moment I'd estimate myself around 20% but would like some other views. Advice on next steps? Continue to cut, seems I have a lot more fat to get rid of.

Thanks man, I plan on going lower another 8lbs to about 165lbs. The last two weeks I did a recomp staying at about the same weight but slowly gaining some strength. Also to keep sane and take a little break from the diet since I‘m probably a little early for summer. Next two months I hope to get into the best shape of my life.

2 month update, I hit my old goal weight of 160 lbs (from 170 lbs) and would like to get a new estimate.
Pics in body space. Also any advice would be wonderful and would like to ask if I lost any noticeable muscle mass on this cut. I have a February 5 picture.
I've gone this far and plan to shred another 10... **** it... I'm feeling small but I think I will have noticeable abs at 150 but if that's not the case, please let me know!

14%. Depends on your goal if you want to be leaner for summer then you could probably cut another 7lbs and be at 12-13%. If you are happy with your leanness then start lean bulking.

No you haven't you actually look a lot better and as you are more defined, thus bigger. If you are happy looking slim in a shirt then go for it, its one of those things for most natural weight lifters with average amounts of muscle mass, either look big in a shirt but have excess fat or look defined out of one but small in a shirt.
You look better now. About 13-14%

I have a bf scales and calipers, usually I get a reading between 19 and 25% bf.
Interested to see what people think my % is as I've been cutting for over a year (I was 210lbs and roughly 40% bf), and am wanting to start bulking. Mainly because people are saying I look too thin and a little sickly... I don't see that though.
I'm open to any criticism or advice too if you have any. Thanks

21-22%. Well done on the weight loss for starts, make sure you are weight training if you aren't already on a well set up and planned program. Based on your previous forum question you weren't really follow a progressive weight training program, this will need to change to see the results I imagine you are after.
Home workouts are fine if you have the equipment, a simple range of medium to heavy dumbbells will offer good results if you follow a decent program have a look at this:-
https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=162916931&page=1
As for being told you look skinny that is because people have only seen you fat. I would lose more and get to about 15% (you will start to see your core outline) then bulk.

Thanks for the advice. I've been doing push pull legs for a while at home. I have dumbbells and a barbell and bench. I also have Kettlebells but don't really use them.
I'm starting the gym in the morning as I only have 50 kgs at home.
I haven't really followed any set programme, do you think I should or would a ppl split do the job?
Hey guys, first post on my bodybuilding journey. Lost about 30 pounds and still going! Problem is, my thighs are so much fatter and out of proportion to the rest of me, at least i think. Can i get a estimate on my bf % on upper body, lower body, and overall?

It is probably best you do. Any weight training will help but already designed well rounded programs offer insurance you don't have any imbalances within the program which most home made programs have. Try a decent program and progress on that and once you have made some decent strength gains/ muscle gains then tinker to your own needs.
Here are but a few programs I would advise:-
Pick one of these workouts that suit your individual lifestyle, remember that the link between strength and size is generally that the stronger you are the bigger you are.
https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=175493881
That said some people respond better to different rep range and workout methods however increasing in strength with the right nutrition will cause size increase in most if not all beginners and are the foundations of all training programs. All these programs will work whether you are cutting or bulking, calories control whether you are losing weight or gaining it.
Training programs:-
Starting Strength
https://startingstrength.com/get-started/programs – Very well-known program which is simple to understand and easy to execute, a barbell is required and progression is quick. A highly recommended starting point for all beginners and is still effective for intermediates and advanced alike depending on their needs.
StrongLifts
https://stronglifts.com/5x5/ – Another solid starting point for all beginner weight trainers, doesn't generally have the renowned backing off Starting Strength however personally I find a real solid program to start off with (I personally used this program in the beginning and still do from time to time). Progression is quick and the exercises are the key lifts, as well as this very easy to add supplementary exercises once you progress.
Jim Welder 5/3/1
https://www.t-nation.com/workouts/531-how-to-build-pure-strength – One of the best programs around for strength gains and can easily be adapted and added to in order increase muscular size. His programs are fantastic and in-depth with a vast amount of information available online and especially in his books (I highly recommended buying them if possible).
For beginners it is best to start with this program of 5/3/1:-
https://jimwendler.com/blogs/jimwendler-com/101065094-5-3-1-for-a-beginner
Fierce 5
https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=162916931&page=1 – One of most solid programs designed on this forum and is basically the complete package this has programs that start off with beginners all the way to advanced. I personally have found this to be both enjoyable yet challenging and have added solid amount of muscle doing it.
AllPro
https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=169172473 – A simple but effective method to build solid muscle, does lack some of the elements of strength, however with the basics comes the ability to add strength elements. That said very good at building muscle mass. I have not personally used this one but has a very strong follow here and comes very highly recommended.
Training is only one part you must have good nutrition as well I advise you to read this section for more information:-
https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=173439001
https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=136691851
After all that remember the best training program is the one you stick to. Muscle development takes time and no training program will cause instant results and require dedication. Therefore stick with the program and only change when you truly feel you have got all you can out of the program.

There is only a thing as overall bf%, which I would say is 12-13% you can't spot reduce so no matter the percentage of lower vs upper it would be the same for fat loss.
(some reason doesn't like me quoting your post probably a bug)

You have a good amount of muscle but I would caution aiming for some random bf% figure. Go by the mirror if you feel you are lean enough then bulk not because you aren't so called '10%' as your body fat percentage appearance can change quite quickly.
10% generally is just a nice round number that bounced about by body composition experts for individual who have years and years of weight training experience. Just go with what you are happy with and fits into your life (I found 10% meant I was limiting my social life as I eat out a bit so I personally rarely go that low but each to their own).

Thanks man. Tbh I had no idea and thought I'd be in the upper 30% bf area so that's good to hear. Do you know if it's good/bad to be around 26% bf weighing 229lbs? I'm not sure if I have a decent or little amount of muscle currently and keep worrying I'll have a load of loose skin or something when I lose the rest of the weight.
Scale says... 17%. Do you agree to this number?

You have some muscle as I can see that your legs aren't very chubby or arms (although your legs seem to hold most of your muscle). Being 26% is generally not an ideal bf% at any weight really, at 229lbs its the average overweight man I would say you are just under 6ft so about right.
I can't really comment on how much loose skin you may or may not have however I do know that it will tighten up once you get leaner and then build more muscle. Best advice is don't try and lose fat too rapidly 1% of body weight per week will be fine for the next 30-40lbs and then lose it slower from there.

Fatter one:- 17%
Lean one:- 13-14%
If you are at the lean pic stage then choice is yours either cut down another 5-10lbs then lean bulk for longer or just start now whichever you will be happy most with, depending on your goals.

Height: 6'3"/190cm
Weight: 181.8lbs/82.5kg
I started my cut 4/5 weeks ago starting at 194lbs/88kg and was predicted by a bodytracking device at the gym to be ~17% body fat.
I'm doing the steak and eggs Vince Gironda diet after reading so many positive testimonials!

I would have you lower at 15% bf close to 14%.
As for your diet I personally don't agree with any diet that makes you eliminate a food source especially one that limits to two food choices. A glance at it I would questions the health benefits from lacking in many need vitamins and minerals. It basically is a combined version of Paleo + Keto and extremely restrictive (only eggs and steak very boring).
It won't cause any more fat loss then just restricting calories (maybe more weight loss from less water and glycogen in your body). That said the choice obviously is yours but I would try putting your diet into this website
https://cronometer.com/
As I can imagine you will be lacking a range of micro nutrients, so do be careful carbs are not a bad macro they have been recently thought that it might actually aid in muscle protein synthesis.

Hi I am 5'8 and 135kg/~300pounds. I am trying to build muscle and need to know how much of my body is actually muscle and which is fat, so I can consume enough protein accordingly. Thanks in advance.
Hello everybody! After a 3 months cutting (last year) I have some questions (regarding that cut):
- Do you think it's a good progress? (if there is one  )
- %Fat before and now (after) ?
I had:
- a good diet
- every day HIIT workout (only cardio)
- lost ~10kg (water, fat and muscle)
- lost ~13cm in waist
Now:
- I have some "belly", I think it's the last (and also the hardest) part to cut
- I want to cut again, before a lean-bulking
Thanks!

Now around 16-17%.
You don't need to cut you need more muscle if you cut now you will look like you just survived a famine. I assume you didn't weight train as you have lost muscle. You need to start weight training and add some muscle on unless you want the skinny small look?
thank you! what would you say cut to 10% then gain muscle, or gain muscle then cut
As for all these choices its down to you. You could lose some but I wouldn't bother going to 10% maybe aim to get to 12-13% (you should see some abs) and then bulk. I would guess you would probably be around 70kg bracket if you aimed for 12%.
Or you are able to bulk just find your maintenance TDEE then add a couple 100 calories and only increase them when your strength completely stalls and/or you fail to gain about 2lbs per month.
The choice is yours depends on your overall goal as you will need to do both and neither are a glaring problem for you. (you have some lean body mass and you aren't overweight)
