If you keep your weight loss at 1% per week, you can lose about 26lbs by the end of the year.
You can lose weight faster if you like, but the chance of losing muscle will increase a bit.
Makes sense.. i guess ill try and go for 26-28.. and will keep increasing the lifts as i go by, while keeping an eye on protein intake...
i just hope i can get down to 160-165 pounds and then do a clean bulk, cos i imagine ill be quite scrawny at the end of this cut
thanks for all your help
also, assuming i manage to do well till the end of the year will i have abs at say 162?
thanks once again! u have been great!

This is after cutting for 4 months, I thought I could get abs at 60 kg..I guess not. My daily calories is already down to 1300. Can I get a roguh bf% estimate? I think it's time to eat normal again.
Any advice on working out 2 days/week ? Right now I workout on weekends due to uncertain work schedules. Lately I'm in the office for 10+ hours. I'm thinking of a 3x8 routine, with the reps increasing every week, until I can get 3x12 with the same weight

Only time will tell. You should be lean enough at 162, but your ab muscles may not be developed well enough yet.

Looks like 18-20% from the front. Pics from the side and back would also be helpful If can only train twice a week, I'd look at Dan John's Workout for the Busy Working Guy.

18 percent huh...still pretty high. I will try to build muscle while maintaning my bodyfat for a while.
Probably i still could cut another 3 or 5 percent bodyfat but losing weight for 4+ months is starting to take a toll mentally
18-20%. Cut another 10-15lbs before bulking.
Im already at like 1600 cals, and cardio every day. I'm not sure If I can cut much further with my current muscle mass. Are there any other options? Do re-feed days work?

I'd take a 2 week diet break (eat at maintenance) and then finish off the cut. It will help.

Refeed days don't help with fat loss. They may help mentally or in terms of athletic performance, but no one loses more weight by eating more calories.

I'm guessing low-mid 20s if I'm being realistic. Using max LBM formulas and knowing I'm 6'1 221 here. Unlikely that LBM is more than 170, which might be optimistic itself.

Looks around 18% to me. It could be 20%, but I don't think it's higher than that.

Calipers aren't very reliable in terms of estimating body fat. They're better for seeing trends, i.e. if you're getting leaner or fatter.

Im 200 pounds, 18 years old, and 5'11". My plan was to keep bulking till the beginning of January and then cut till the end of summer but I feel like I've already gained too much weight (i went from 180 to 200). Can you guys please tell me my BF% and if you think i should start cutting till I'm a lower weight (160lb?) or to keep bulking till January.
Idk I don't really see guys with veins popping out like mine at 15%
partyrocking largely overestimates a lot of people's body fat on here. You look more like 13% tbh. There needs to be more objectivity on this thread in general because I really disagree with some of her measurements.

You could give your own estimates if you have a different opinion. ... then again, that would be a waste of time if you want more objectivity. Giving online estimates is inherently subjective. Strong logic/10
BRB another OP thinks he's leaner than he is and gets butt hurt when the estimate he gets is higher than he's expecting.

Lol alpha destiny said im 14% when i was 160 so now that im 150 im sure im about 12-13% . I just store fat on my stomach compared to everything else. If I had 15% bf at 150 lbs that would put my ffmi at like 19 or 18 which would mean I don't even lift.

Hey guys, new to this community but not new to this lifestyle. Glad to be here and hoping we can motivate each other.

Can someone please estimate my body fat currently? Link to my side by side progress is below.

End of cut pic below. Finished up at 183 lbs (height 5'10", bringing the calories back up right now and also added creatine. I wanted to ask for a bf% estimate before I start to get puffier from water weight.

Thanks! Planning to cut To 165-166 at 14-15% BF. Then I’ll do a slow but lean bulk. These love handles and lower back fat are driving me insane. I hope these last 8 or so pounds is what makes them dissapear and my abs to show up.

How about me?
Images are in my body space... My scake and calipers both say about 18, but looking for some other guesses to see how close things are.
Currently 180 at 6'1
230--->180. Looking to go to 160ish and then bulk back up. Never really lifted ever. Sticking with dumbells for now (until new year) then planning on getting a power rack/300 barbell as well.
1RM for dumbell bench press now is about 55, according to jefit. Would that put barbell at about 140?

Your bf is over 20%. Closer to 25% tbh. I would start lifting more intensely so you retain LBM while you're losing fat.
You can't really convert a barbell bench press to a dumbbell one.

Around 15%. Do you mean calipers? They're better for measuring trends than your actual bf.
-
Yeah. Those.
Thought they targeted bf. How can you get an accurate reading for BF%?
Also forgot to mention I'm 6'1" 189lbs

They do. They're just not that reliable since they're dependent on the expertise of the person holding the calipers & the formula being used. They're better for trends.
There isn't a perfect way of finding out your bf%. Even the most notable methods, hydrostatic weighing, dexa scan, etc have a 3-5% margin of error.

Hello I have been on these forums just collecting information and doing research and I have got to say this is an amazing place! I just created an account recently and haven't really been using it so this is my first post. Nice to meet you all. But to the point I'm wondering what my body fat is. And also I'm wondering if it even looks like I work out. I used to think so because of others always saying it does and I go to the gym pretty frequently and have done tons of research into different programs, however as of posting these pics idk for sure if it looks like I do. I'd like to hear from people experienced in lifting and whatnot. Thank you all for any help at all! 😊 I weigh 208lbs as of this morning and I am 6'1.5" Also last time I got my body fat tested I was 211lbs and I was tested at 21.5% body fat. Thanks again! My pictures are on my bodyspace.

Your bf looks to be about 25%. Does it look like you lift? Not particularly. IME, this isn't unusual. Most people I see at the gym don't look like they lift.
If you want to look the part, you really have to get your diet right for your goals.
