Thank you. I feel like I always have a hard time cutting down my body fat to where I want it to be. Ideally, I would like to be around 10% body fat or a little less, but I'm 6'2 and weigh 175 lb, and am not really looking to drop too much more weight at this point. At the same time, I feel like I still have too much fat to start a bulking cycle. I'm also going to be restricted to doing home workouts for a little while longer, obviously because of Covid.
FYI: A drop of 5 more pounds would put you at roughly 13%. You would have to go to 164ish to get to about 10%
A forward facing picture, relaxed, would make estimating your BF a lot easier.
Duh me! I thought I had it in there.
Here it is (also added to the original post)

Hi there! First time posting and i would love some advice. Last summer (for the first time in my life) i got quite fatty. The last four months i started a strict 500 caloric deficit diet with some lifting exercise. Male, 34 years old, 6 feet high (1,84), starting weight 207 pounds, now 175 pounds. Everyone around me, family and friends (no one with a dream body which i would admire) telling me i got to skinny but i want to be leaner i guess. I would like to get some bf estimates from the beginning to now. I try to link imgur pictures. Thank you.

Ok, after struggling with uploading images on Imgur and linking it here i realized i can't due to newbie status. Uploaded the pics in my Bodyspace progress photos. Awaiting some estimates... Thanks for your patience

Hi guys,

Around 13%
Hi guys,

Around 10%. You need to start gaining more weight IMO

Thanks for the answer. 13% was expected... Could you give me my starting estimate? Would say about 30ish maybe... And should I keep dieting before gaining?
What is my current bodyfat?
Do you see any improvement anywhere compared to my last pics? And where are the improvements?
I feel like I look the same (but I am lighter and stronger :))
How many more pounds to loose you think to get to 13% to 14%?
Some days I look lesser fat than others. Each pics is one a day over the last few days
My plan is to cut to 158lbs and then start a slow bulk gaining 2lbs a month for 7 to 8 months. That sounds fair or should
I switch to bulk now?
Based on all of the pictures, 21%.
Meaning that you would have to drop to about 150 pounds to get to 14%.

In order for you to get 13-14% as Luclin stated you would need to drop to 150lb or below and personally at 5ft 8 I would say that is a perfectly acceptable target to aim for. Cutting 5lbs is likely to do nothing as a large portion of that maybe water weight, glycogen and general substance in your body.
You are at that stage where you wont generally see any massive built gains as around 20% bf makes it harder to see muscle progress that is generally wise 'experts' across the internet suggest cutting to below 15%, the actual hormonal growth isn't that much effected by normal bf% ranges. So if you cut down to below 15% you will see the progress you made through the increase of your strength.
However as always cutting to lower bf% is likely to cause mental doubts that you are losing muscle and look too skinny, it happens to everyone. Just stick to your level of leanness you wish to achieve and go for it whilst trying your upmost to maintain your strength.

:(:( <— naah j/k. It is what it is. Just gotta get leaner :)
But that’s just insane - I was thinking that I’m hopefully lower bodyfat Than that but I’m not
This skinny fat really sucks. I look so skinny with shirt on. Even mediums are loose on me now.
I’ll try and cut to as low as I can tolerate - even this is too skinny for me at this time but we shall see. Another thing is my TDEE will drop so much more if I get that low bodyweight and that don’t go well with corona / staying indoors and me being a food lover Lol
Thank you luclin999 and hardyboysare!! I’ll follow up for another estimate in 4 to 6 weeks...

10-11%.
If you are going for "abs" then you probably should just start a bulk because it doesn't look like you have them developed enough to be much more visible than they already are.

Thank you to everyone who helped me out here a few months ago. Hoping to get back onto the 2020 pressing thread once I have barbell access again (just dumbbells for now). Been bulking for the last few months from 162 to 170 lb at 6'1".

Started doing legit strength programs back in November (nsuns, A2S2, and now BTM) as well as training for a century. Any idea on bf %? Presumably I should keep bulking for the time being?

Hey guys I'm kind of new to lifting and eating right, and I'd really appreciate a body fat estimate. I tried it myself with caliper's and got 12% but that seems too low to me and I don't really trust myself. Here's a few pictures of me I tried to take the best ones I could.

True update july 2020
So I just added 2 progress photos, plain light. My problem was that I had several scans showing a really adverse result 6 months at a time 30+ % Bf and losing muscle mass and stuff. However by eye and tape measure it’s ok. Last guess was 18% I’ve done a few mini cycles since then. Pretty happy just eating healthy and lifting. I’m doing overload. Do you think there’s enough mass to do a cut if I’m careful? Even to get to 15% I’d be stoked don’t require all the way to 10% and minus.

Waist 33 inch
Hips 37 inch
Thanks guys.

18% looks about right. It is entirely up to you whether you want to cut or bulk first. Just bear in mind that if you bulk first you will end up looking a little bloated and will need an even more protracted cut afterwards. If you cut first you will have to deal with looking smaller and smaller for a while. It depends on which version of events you are more comfortable with.

To be honest, its harder to tell since you are posed and flexing in the photo instead of relaxed and pictured from the front facing forward.
